Bianca wanted to have a drink before Amanda arrived for dinner, but she decided it might not be a good idea. Maybe, she thought, after she had something in her stomach, her drink might be better. She sat down at a table, though, and waited for her friend to arrive. She definitely wanted to talk about the option of starting their own company, especially if Erica was now going to back them up.
It was nothing against Kendall, and she hoped that if this did work out, her sister would understand. Not just for herself and Amanda, but for Erica, too. She knew how..sensitive Kendall was these days, and she didn't want to do anything to ruin her mother and sister's relationship with one another.
"Hey, Amanda!" she said, as Mrs. Martin made it to her table. "I'm so glad you could make it..I ordered us water; I wasn't sure what you wanted..I figured I might like something alcoholic later, but I think I'll have something to eat first," she said with a smile.

Amanda was excited about this meeting with Bianca. It was the first chance they'd really had to talk alone since Kendall came back to Fusion. Both of the women knew it was inevitable that Greenlee and Kendall would come back, and they'd be ousted from the lead spots in the company, but it did seem to come too soon. But now as Amanda made her way inside, she was just nervous about how Bianca was feeling about all of this now that she'd had more time to think it over. Bianca and Kendall were sisters, and she was a step-sister to Greenlee. For all Amanda knew the three of them had decided to make Bianca a full partner, or head of the finance department and Bianca would no longer be interested in thinking over something new with her former partner. But Amanda tried to hold out some hope. If this didnt work out, she could always go back to modeling for Fusion and whatever new position they put her in.
Amanda spotted Bianca already sitting down at the table and waved "Hi Bianca!" Amanda smiled laughing lightly as she mentioned them moving on to an alcoholic beverage later. "Ah, that does sound good, but maybe we should get something in our stomachs to soak up the alcohol first" She joked
"So how are things back home now that Kendall and the boys are back? I'm sure Miranda and Gabby must be thrilled"

"Definitely," Bianca agreed, taking a drink of her water. She didn't want to drink on an empty stomach, and she definitely wanted something to eat anyway since she had skipped lunch today being much too busy with everything going on.
"Oh, the girls are beyond excited! The boys are, too. I think it's great that they have each other, and they have our mom & uncle Jack..I know Kendall's not too thrilled with Liza under the same roof, but I like having her there," Bianca nodded. "How about you? How's your beautiful little boy? And how is Mr. Martin?" she asked with a smile.

"I'll bet" Amanda said with a nod as Bianca spoke about the boys being excited to be back too. She wondered if Trevor would grow up being close to Tara and Nolan that way, like Miranda and Gabby were with their cousins. She hoped he'd have a bond with them.
"Both of my guys are doing great, Jake's with Trevor now, they're having some male bonding time, I'm sure I'll come home and the living room will be a mess and they'll both probably be passed out on the couch" She said laughing lightly. She couldnt imagine Kendall and Liza living under the same roof, that had to be dangerous territory. "Are Kendall and Liza getting along so far?" She asked, then knowing she shouldnt beat around the bush with the question she really wanted to ask. "Did Kendall say anymore to you about Fusion?"

"Good..I'm glad to hear that," Bianca smiled, happy for her friend and her family.
"Well..they stay away from each other for the most part. I think Liza is willing to forget everything that happened, but Kendall isn't. Which I can understand..I would be upset if I was in her shoes. But I think Liza's changed a lot, and she'd like to make amends if she could," Bianca offered.
"Uhm..no. Not really. But..I've been talking to my mom about starting my own company, which is sort of why I wanted to talk to you," the brunette hinted, taking a drink of her water.

"Distance is probably the best idea for them..but it's good that they're able to handle being under the same roof. With all those kids you guys have living there, they've gotta make sure they're civil at least for them" She said knowing the women were mature enough to do so, neither one would make a scene and risk upsetting one of the little ones.
"Your mom really got me thinking about that the other day too" Amanda admitted as Bianca brought up thinking about starting her own company. She wondered where Bianca's thoughts had gone, and what else Erica might have discussed with her. Maybe Bianca decided she wanted to start this up on her own, and just wanted to let Amanda know first so she wouldnt hurt her feelings.

"Well, I finally decided on what I wanted to do," she said with a smile, proud that she finally came up with it and now she was going to put her plan into action. "I want to open a couple of shelters for women and children..sort of like anyone who comes into the Miranda Center with no place to go. I want it to co-exist with that, and my mom suggested I call them "Gabrielle Houses". I thought it was a sweet idea, and it sounds original," Bianca shrugged, before taking a sip of her water.
"But what I really wanted to talk to you about is asking you if you'd like to be my partner in all of this. If the first few houses work out and we can get enough sponsorship and money to keep it going, I want to open more centers and houses, and I'm going to need help managing everything. I just thought that we would be really good partners..but if you want to stay at Fusion, I understand. You do a great job there..and I think we did a really great job running it," Bianca smiled.

"Wow, that sounds like a great idea...you're already doing so much good work with the Miranda Center" Amanda said, thinking that it made sense to expand on that idea. "Gabrielle Houses" Amanda said with a smile thinking her other daughter would appreciate that later in life. "Nice"
Amanda thought it was a great idea, but as soon as she heard it worried that this would be a venture that Bianca would take alone. Afterall she didnt need any help with the Miranda Center, why would she with this. She was happy for Bianca though, knowing how passionate she was about this cause, but a little diappointed that she'd probably lost a chance at creating something new with the woman. Because of this train of though Amanda was shocked by what Bianca said next, she wanted her to be her partner.
"Really?" She said surprised. "I guess I didnt think you'd still need me, I mean you know how to do all this already, and have your mom's backing..." She said. "We did do a great job running Fusion together, and we do work well together. I love working at Fusion and I learned a lot there...but with Kendall and Greenlee back...there's really no place for me to contribute my ideas anymore, and I dont think I could go back to just pushing papers....you sure you want me as a partner?" She said, not wanting to get excited about this if Bianca wasn't completely sure.

"Well, that's the thing..I'm good at running the Miranda Center, but I can't tell you how many problems I've run into along the way and have only had Erica to lean on. I know she's my mom, but I feel like everytime something goes even a little wrong, I'm disappointing her," she admitted, realizing that her mom wasn't ever disappointed in her, but the thought that she was killed her. "I guess it would just be nice to have someone helping me..that I could go to if I had a problem and we could solve it together because we'd be in this together."
"I'm sure that you need time to think about everything, but I absolutely want you as a business partner. I don't think I've ever worked with someone that well before and it's such a relief, knowing that I can share the responsibilities while still getting to do my own thing," she smiled. "I feel the same way about Fusion, and I guess that's ultimately why I want to do this..I don't want to hurt my sisters' feelings, but I need to get out and do something else."

"I dont think Erica could ever be disappointed in you. Somehow mothers think their children are perfect in every way" Amanda said, knowing her own mother had felt that way about her, but also knowing she felt Trevor was perfect as she was sure Bianca felt that for her girls.
"I loved working at Fusion, and it taught me a lot, but I'm not sure if I really have much of a place there anymore. Maybe its my own ego but I dont think I can go from running it with you so successfully to being ignored and answering phones" Amanda said knowing in her heart it was true. She also knew it wouldnt take her long to decide that she wanted to start this venture with Bianca. Her only concern was that Bianca had really already started it, she could support her sure, but she wanted to feel like she had helped create something too. There was an idea that had been in the back of her mind for a while, but until now never seemed possible, she was sure most people would never even take it seriously but maybe Bianca would go for it.
"Actually...I dont need time to think about it. I absolutely want to be your business partner...but how would you feel about expanding the idea a bit? You know I fully support the Miranda center and think shelters for women and children would be a great cause...but what if we didnt stop there?" She suggested, feeling nervous wondering if she was a fool for thinking of this. "What if a part of the centers also offered other services...mental health services and counseling...both to the women and children in need, but also to families dealing with mental illness. A place where they could get help early, without the stigma often attached to it...help those in need and those affected by loved ones who need help to offer support"

"Well, she always does seem to support me and help me do whatever I want to do, but I just worry sometimes," she told her. "But I'm sure that I'll do something to make my daughters feel like that when I really don't..I know that they won't have that "living up to Erica Kane" pressure as harshly as I do, but I know they'll still feel some sense of what I'm going through..but you're right..they're going to be wonderful and perfect no matter what," she nodded, knowing it was true.
"Exactly..that's how I felt when Kendall came back, and now that Greenlee's back, too, I'm sure that I won't get to continue to run it..and I shouldn't..it's not mine to run," she shrugged, happy that she had the Miranda Center to fall back on.
When Amanda announced she would be wanted to be her business parter Bianca nearly squealed in excitement. "Oh, yes! I'm so excited, Amanda!" she exclaimed, getting up to hug her. She knew it might be a bit much, but she was so happy this was working out! She sat back down and Amanda suggested something that made Bianca wonder. "You know..I think you might be onto something..maybe we should look into this..do some research..especially since many of the women and children who come through our doors could use it just as much as other families," she nodded, thinking this might be a really good idea. "Yes. Let's research it a little bit, figure out costs and we can show the start up costs to my mom! I knew I picked you for a reason," she smiled, happy that Amanda was not only agreeing to do this, but so happy that she had these great ideas to contribute.

"Yeah, that's how I felt too..I mean I've worked there long enough that I always hoped I guess that Greenlee and Kendall would see me as an equal there someday, but I guess not starting the company means its never something I could truly accomplish....I guess that's another reason why I'd like to start something fresh with the Miranda center with you...so that I'm not just working on your project, but helping you create something new"
Amanda could see how excited Bianca was by her agreement to work together, and Amanda felt just as excited about the opportunity herself. She really couldn't wait to get into all of this, and she knew already how well she worked with Bianca. Their personalities an work styles just meshed so perfectly. And as worried as she had been about sharing her idea about adding mental health services and counseling into the mix, Bianca was already supportive, and practical still. "If there had been more places offering help when I was growing up, maybe my mom wouldn't have been so resistant to get help like she was with going to the hospitals" She said, wanting to work on making the help available and not holding such a stigma to it either.
"We should definitely talk to your mom about this for some advice. There's no female businesswoman quite like her." She agreed. "Wow...I just cant wait to do this!"

"And I promise to let you work on that and create it with your ideas. I don't want to have the kind of business relationship where one person feels more important than the other," she told Amanda honestly, looking at her. "I am so glad that you decided to do this with me..there are so many people out there who would be willing to, but only because I am Erica's daughter.." she told her friend, sort of sad because all she ever wanted was to be her own person. Of course Erica was her mother and one of the most important parts of her life, but for people to just see that made her upset sometimes.
"Speaking of Erica, you're right..we should go ask her for some advice. She always knows how to handle these things, and I am sure we could get the prices worked out with her help. She has all of these great connections and she so into the business aspect..maybe not as much anymore because of Colton, but I have a feeling she is going to do something else that stuns everyone."

"Thank you Bianca, I appreciate that" Amanda told her sincerely as she promised to let her create her own ideas and that they would be partners not just one person in charge of the other. She could see the sadness in her friend's eyes when she talked about how there were other people who would only want to do this because she was Erica's daughter. "Well you can believe me that who your mother is hasn't affected my willingness to work with you. There are some people who wouldn't want me as a partner just because I'm Janet's daughter"
Amanda nodded as she suggested talking to Erica t o get some advice and help with her connections. "Oh I have no doubt that your mother is not yet done stunning the world" She said with a light laugh, knowing it was true.
