"Little Miss.Busy Body, is your new name." she said before laughing

"No problem." Dixie said with a smile as she began cutting up the onions. "Although I thought you'd seen me shed enough tears today!" She joked as the onions began taking their toll.

"Oh you'll be alright.." she said joking right along with Dixie.
"So you say you weren't always like this, tell me about it."

"Well lets see, before I developed the ability to cry at the drop of a hat, and before my bi*tchy evil twin took up residence here two years prior, for the most part I was a pretty upbeat, glass half full kinda gal. And, I'd like to hope despite everything, that side of me still shows through now and then?" Dixie asked nervously, giving Angie a concerned look. Even though she knew she'd been a little troubled as of late, she hoped she wasn't coming off as a total downer in the eyes of her friend.

"You have been upbeat about a lot of stuff..What have I told you about talking down on yourself."she said giving her a mean but playful look..
"It's understandable to feel the way you feel.." she said hoping Dixie would feel the same.
"So since you think this is a bad subject how about we change it..I know you haven't even started working yet, but do you plan on getting a house or something? she asked concerened about her living arrangements.

"Well, pre-pancakes my plan was to get a little money saved and get a condo or apartment somewhere around town, and I think I'm gonna stick to it. As much as I love being close to J.R and Little Adam, there's no way staying at Chez Chandler is a long term plan, it's been established that place is destined to creep me out for life." Dixie said with a laugh. "And yeah, even though Uncle Palmer's got it all arranged so I could be living in the lap of luxury now, I've made it quite clear it's not in the cards. I've never lived like that comfortably and don't see that changing anytime soon." "But I'm so anxious to get started at PVH I can't tell you, that's gonna be my first step towards normal, I can't wait."

“Which is why I try not to go over to La Chandler Casa.. Maybe I could help you out. I mean there aren’t many but the few there are, are pretty nice. Me and Frankie found this place.” she said offering her help “I guess living the luxury life is not what everybody have in mind. I mean look at me I’m a doctor, Jesse’s the Chief of Police and when chose to save money on a big place.”
“Look at you I can tell your excited. Your blushing like a child on Christmas morning.” said picking up the onions Dixie had chopped. “Miss. Busy Body, there’s some garlic bread in fridge, could you take them out and get it ready for the oven.” she asked politely

"Sure no problem." Dixie said as she took the bread out of the fridge. "And yeah I'd appreciate all the help I could get with the apartment thing. Not really too familiar with the real estate biz in PV these days." She said with a smile. "You know it's funny about weird vibes you get around houses and things though. I mean the other day I passed by Zach's casino and got a chill up my spine, just brought back a lot of things I never wanted to think about again. I was almost tempted to stroll over to Holland Avenue where Tad and I raised the boys, get back to that nice, homey vibe you know?" Dixie said only to see a panicked expression on her friend's face. "Angie, what's wrong?"

Angie laughed when she heard about Zach’s Casino.. When Dixie mentioned the house her and Tad use to live in she became speechless, apparently Tad hadn’t told her what happened.
“Uh…well…nothing…” she said trying to push it. But Dixie stood next to Angie giving her the eye. “Well a very very mean, not so happy man, with a thirst for making people look bad…..uh…burned it down.” she said sincerely

"Wait, no I. I'm sorry, I must not have heard you correctly, what happened at Holland Avenue?" Dixie asked, in disbelief over what Angie had just told her, leading Angie to repeat herself. "What, but I...no! No, it..it couldn't be, not that house, not where we raised the boys! No!!" Until her friend sighed sadly and gave her a sympathetic nod, leading Dixie to pull up a chair at the counter as this new reality began to sink in. "It must be, completely gone then. Tad..he loved that house more than anything, he wouldn't have moved if it could've been saved somehow. God, what made this happen!" She said with a sob and put her head in her hands, before looking back up at Angie with fury in her eyes. "Better yet, who made this happen. Who would intentionally destroy a home and nearly a decade of memories along with it!" Dixie asked bitterly, wanting answers.

Angie walked over to Dixie and sat beside her. Not sure if she wanted to tell her who, for she might do something crazy, but it was out..
"Uh..Ad...Adam Chandler. Did it." she said recalling her and Tad's conversation. "And before you ask, it was because Adam found out that Tad was the father of Krystal's baby Jenny. The house was could not be saved." she said with a sense of sorrow in her eyes

"That son of a...I..I can't. I can't believe it..." Dixie said, stunned. "I know firsthand Tad and Adam have every right to be lifelong enemies, but this here, this is proof positive this feud of theirs has gone too d*mn far!! Even for Adam this is hitting below the belt. For God's sake J.R grew up in that house!!" "God, the hits just keep on coming don't they." Dixie sighed bitterly.

“Nobody wants to hear about their house being burned down, especially one they grown to love and one they made a wonderful life in.” she added once Dixie finally calmed down.
"It has gone too far, and keep telling Tad, but you know he's stubborn and Adam well let's just he doesn't listen to anybody but Krystal..
“Even though I know your staying at Adam’s because of J.R, maybe you should stay here tonight. You know, so you wont go over there and hurt the old man. I don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night with a phone call to Jesse saying you harassed an old man. That’s not going to happen.”

Dixie couldn't help but laugh at Angie's remark. "No that wouldn't be good would it, maybe I should take a page from his book, sic some nice men with the nets and white coats on him. Better they deal with him than me." She joked, even though the idea didn't seem completely out of the realm of possibility.
"But Angie I..I couldn't stay the night, I've already put you out enough today as it is!!" Dixie protested. "No, I'll just stay at the mansion in the East Wing, maybe I'll even lock myself in the tunnels if it comes down to it." She joked only to see Angie was completely serious. "Angie no. I love the offer but no, it's way too much."

"No, Dont need you going to Brook Haven." she joked getting back to check on her food, which was almost finished.
When Dixie began to protest, she wasn't having it. So instead of pressurring her she decided to go along with it. "Well it's really up to you. I just don't want you coming out of there in handcuffs. Jesse isn't to easy on first time offenders, anyway.. But hey your choice not mine." she said, turning the stove down.
