David had promised Bianca that he would leave her family and friends alone, and that he would back off, and not do anything. He wanted to live up to the promise to her, well, atleast for awhile he would. David left a note on Erica and Dixie's door to meet him at the Yacht Club, and he left a note on Angie's office door at the hospital as well, telling her to come to the Yacht Club as well. He wanted to let them know that he wasn't going to hurt their families like he said he was. Well, David did hurt JR, by telling him about Babe being alive, but that was the extent to that.
David sat at the Yacht Club, wondering what the ladies would say to him. This was the first time, that he had all three of them together, and he was going to tell them that his plans to destroy them and their families were no more. David did have secrets though, but they were concerning Gillian Andrassy, and Stuart Chandler, and he wasn't going to let them in on it. His thoughts were then interrupted by the waitor who wanted to know what he wanted to drink. "Sir, what can I get for you to drink?" the waitor asked, but David looked up to the man. "Nothing right now, thanks.." David said as he leaned back into the chair, and went back to his thoughts.

Erica had been skeptical when she found a note on her door, so she called Angie. This was right after their talk, & Erica had been scared that somehow, he knew what they had discussed. But, she told Angie she was going to go anyway, & if it came down to it, Erica Kane was going to beg him to leave her child alone. She didn't know how to fight him in this situation... & that was horrifying.
When she walked down to the dining area, she saw David sitting alone, & she bravely walked toward him. She knew she had to put on the tough act, but underneath, she was terrified for the child growing in her womb. "Okay, David... you got me here. Where's Angie? She said you asked her to join us," she asked, looking around, seeing no familiar faces besides David's.

Dixie was considering herself blessed that this morning, she'd gone out for a walk and spotted the note on the door from David before Tad or Kathy. If either of them had gotten wind of this things would've gotten very hairy. The very thought of seeing Hayward again was making her sick to her stomach, and she was tempted to ignore the invite. But Dixie knew if she didn't see him now, he'd find a way to see her later. And given the way her loved ones felt about him, it was better she handle this solo and report back if anything got out of hand. But she was hoping that wouldn't be the case.
Warily she headed into the Yacht Club, and spotted David seated at a table with Erica standing nearby. Curious to see her friend, and concerned that Erica was very pregnant and looking very stressed, Dixie walked over and touched the brunette on the shoulder. Overhearing her say that she was asked here too, along with Angie. "Erica, hi." She smiled warmly, then turned to David with an icy stare. "Hello David." Crossing her arms, the waiter approached her and Erica asking if they wanted anything to drink. "Just some club soda please." Dixie ordered, and after the waiter walked off a smirk found it's way to her face, remembering where they were and the past of the man who'd asked them here. "Anything but fruit punch."

Angie was on the phone with Erica when she stepped up to her office door and noticed a note was attached to it. While Erica spoke on going to see him Angie scanned it and sighed. “Looks like I’m being summoned as well,” she told her before telling her she would be there. Even though the last thing she wanted to do was sit across from that man she would suck it up and go. Plus she didn’t want Erica to have to deal with that devil alone. After hanging up with Erica, she called to let Cass know she wouldn’t be coming home so quickly and then promptly told her what was up. Cass warned her to watch out for Hayward. She didn’t know the man all that well, but she heard about him and she didn’t want her mother around him.
Now here she was standing outside of the Yacht club, once again looking over this damn note. She couldn’t help but wonder what he wanted with her and Erica. Was he going to try to sweeten up the deal? Was he going to tell them that if they didn’t agree with him he would do it anyway and there would still be hell to pay? Angie wanted to know and if that was the case then Angie already knew what needed to be done and definitely wouldn’t hesitate to do it. Finally, Angie climbed out of her truck and headed in only to stop when she saw Dixie was at the table with Erica and David. This can’t be good, she thought taking a deep breath and heading over.
“Hey ladies,” Angie greeted warmly. “Dixie, I didn’t expect to see you here.” She gave the woman a hug before looking to the man that asked her and Erica to join him. Obviously he asked Dixie to join as well because nobody in their right mind would stop just because to give him a minute of their time. “Dr. Hayward,” she said stiffly. “What’s going on?” She asked getting straight to the point. At that moment the waiter returned with drinks and set them on table. “Would you like anything to drink ma’am?” “Water, please.” Once the woman walked away Angie turned her attention back to David and waited for him to speak.

When David heard Erica's voice, he looked up and grinned like he always had, when he saw Erica Kane. "Hello, Erica. I am assuming that Angie is on her way.." David said, as he motioned for Erica to take a seat, but while he was doing so, he looked over to see that Dixie had arrived. "Hi to you to Dixie." He said smiling, but he knew that Dixie nor Erica were in the mood to play nice when it came to him.
"Ah, yes the fruit punch, because god forbid I would spike another punch bowl right Dixie, just to get you back?" he said glancing to her. "Before I say anything else...we need to wait on..Angie, because what I have to say well it has to do with all three of you.." he said, and when he finished speaking, he noticed Angie walking up to the table. "And here she is..Glad you could join us Angie." he said, motioning for her to sit down as well.
He waited for the waitor to walk away before he answered Angie's question about what was going on. He leaned forward, and looked to all three of them first. "The reason I wanted you all three here, is because I have made a big decision. I have decided to back off from you ladies, and your family as well. It's the promise I made to Bianca.." David said, turning his attentions to Erica. "Yes, me and Bianca had a conversation, and yes it was cordial for the most part. Bianca has decided to give me a second chance, and for that, and for her I am going to not do what I threatened you ladies with." David said looking over to Angie and then to Dixie.
"But, I must come clean with something." He said staring into Dixie's eyes. "I did tell JR that Babe was alive and in Josh's arms. The look I saw in his eyes was priceless. The pain, and the sorrow that he was feeling, I got to experience it.." he said with a grin. "And that is what I wanted. I wanted to see JR hurting for what he had constantly had done to Babe when they were married.." David revealed his true intentions of wanting to hurt JR.
"But, that is in the past, and you Angie, you do not have to worry about our little conversation at the hospital. I will not carry out my threat, and I will leave your son and Madison alone" David promised. "So, consider me not a threat anymore ladies, because for Babe and for Marissa, and for Bianca, I will not do as I said I was going to do.."

When David stared into her eyes and told her he spilled about Babe and Josh, Dixie eyed the butter knife on the table and wondered if that would be the fastest way to kill him. "You son of a..." Looking on in awe when he said everything was in the past, shaking her head at the look on his face she walked up and quickly slapped it.
"Like hell you're no longer a threat! You gutted my son and you smiled when you did it. Who proudly admits to causing someone that kind of pain, then turns around and says they're reformed? You have to be a threat if you're that delusional!" Dixie said bitterly. "Not only are you as cruel as you've ever been David, you're deranged. And so is anyone who buys this act of your's." She said, hoping Angie and Erica didn't believe any of this either.
"Say all you want that everything you did is in the past, it doesn't erase it, or heal everyone you've hurt. Especially my son. Yes, he hurt Babe. But she was no innocent victim of his and you know it. When they were together she managed to hurt him just as badly, if not more!" Dixie reminded. "Do me a favor, next time you want to see someone hurt, come after me! You've caused J.R enough pain to last a lifetime." She said, choking back tears, knowing that as of now her son was in an even deeper hell than he was. Something she didn't think was even possible.

Erica greeted Dixie & Angie, happy that they both were there. To have Angie in her corner was a blessing, but to have Dixie, too? She couldn't have picked two stronger women if she tried. She then listened as David tried to say that he had a conversation with Bianca. That Bianca had given him a second chance!
She glared at him for a moment before asking, "Why would you want Bianca to give you a second chance, David? Why would you keep Josh from me & then pull Bianca into your never ending web? If you hurt her, David, I swear to God..." she growled, leaving the rest up to everyone's imagination. She may have been small, but she had a bite like a lioness.
She then heard what he did to JR. She felt terrible. Sure, she & JR weren't always close, but she knew that if she needed something, she could look to him for help. "How could you do that to him, David? Do you really think that's what Babe would have wanted? What Marissa would have wanted? You're still hurting people, David... & you're still hurting your children," she said, looking at Dixie gently, grabbing her hand for support.

Angie could only stare at David in disbelief upon hearing he was going back off only right after speaking those words started smirking and rubbing it in Dixie’s face about what he did to JR. “Really,” Angie scoffed, shaking her head and wondering if David actually thought any of them were going to applaud him for this sudden change of heart. She looked over at her friend who had the pleasure of doing the one thing that needed to be done, slapping the hell out of him. “That was wrong David,” Angie hissed, glaring at him. “And even if your weren’t on this I’m doing right kick, you weren’t going to do a damn thing to my son or Madison,” she assured. “Better believe that!”
“You know I’m actually ashamed… ashamed of myself for believing you. I don’t know why I thought you were capable of change or doing the right thing. It’s just not possible. It’s a lost cause. You David are a lost cause.” Angie glared at him and gave him a fake smile. “For you to even sit there and say that you have changed and then turn right back around and smile with pleasure over screwing up with someone’s life, it’s very hypocritical.”

"I never once said that I was reformed Dixie. I only said I was backing off because of Bianca, and my two daughters" David said glancing over to Dixie. "And I was the only one who gave JR the truth. You are his mother, and he deserved the truth from you, but you decided that he didn't need to know that information about Babe, and Josh. I never thought, I would.." David was fixing to finish what he was about to say, before he felt a sting on his face from where Dixie had slapped him. He placed his hand on his cheek, and smirked. "Wow, resorting to violence I see. I guess that is what you and your alcoholic son have in common." David said, taking his hand away from his face.
He then looked over to Erica, to respond to what she had said to him. "You forget so easily don't you Erica? I was like a father to Bianca. I even helped you with Michael Cambias, and I even helped Bianca when she was pregnant, and just because I chose Babe in those moments, you hold everything against me, and yet you did the exact same thing as Babe did years ago. Remember Maria Santos, and how you stole her baby, and you have the nerve to sit here, and ask me why I want a second chance with Bianca. If Bianca wants to give me a second chance, which she did, then that is of no concern to you. She is an adult, so why don't you start treating her like one Erica" David finished with Erica, and then turned to Angie who was also not so nice to him.
"You right. I wasn't going to do a damn thing to Madison or your son. My whole goal was to make you feel guilty for even thinking about my offer, and it worked didn't it?" David said, but then rolled his eyes when Angie actually said that she had believed in him. "You are ashamed for believing in me? Really, Angie? You have the gaul to sit here, and tell me that you actually had believed in me, and now you are ashamed of it. Do not make yourself look any better that what you are, Angie. You, never believed in me, and quite honestly I know that you never will, and that doesn't even matter to me. Angie, you will always be a mediocre doctor, a mediocre housewife, and a lousy excuse for a mother. If you were any decent, you would have taken me up on my offer where Madison is concerned. I know I would have, because I would do anything for my daughters, to protect them, and here I thought that mothers were actually more protective over their children. You three need a lesson when it comes to parenting, obviously." David said, eyeing all three of them.

“I just bet you’re itching to find out, aren’t you?” Angie asked, not giving him the satisfaction. She learned from Erica that David fed off peoples expressions. Whatever their reaction was to whatever he spoke about, he used it to his advantage. Angie was giving into him anymore.
Angie smirked. “Mediocre doctor? Humph! How many lives have I saved? How many families have I given hope to? David, my patients would say otherwise… Even some of your patients will say the same. Housewife? David, for someone whose supposed to know every thing you sure don't know what the hell you're talking about. Let me give you a little lesson… A housewife, my dear is a woman who is unemployed. Last I checked I am an employed woman, as a matter of fact I have your job and what do you know I’m doing a damn good job at it,” she threw back in his face, knowing it irked him. “Now, mediocre wife you may accuse me of being, but then again how in the hell would you know the difference between a excellent wife or a mediocre wife? When you yourself don’t have either,” she pointed out. “You wished you had a woman as good as myself.”
“Now onto your lousy mother comment, I am no such thing. Not only do I take care of my children, I love them and they want or need for nothing. I make sure of it. And just because I didn’t take you up on your offer does not make me a bad mother. It makes me a good mother because I put his heart, I put his feelings before my own. Okay so I don’t like her, Frankie does and if she makes him happy then it makes me happy. I refuse to be the reason of his broken heart. I refuse to let you do that to him and hold it over my head for the rest of my life,” she hissed, coming to her feet. “You’ll do anything and I do mean anything to protect your child, even if it means hurting them in the process. I will do no such thing. I will not stoop to your level!”
“And you question what we are doing as mothers… Number one, become a mother. Number two, when you have a relationship with your children like we do with ours. No! When you have a relationship with them, when you have raised them and sacrificed so much just for them and have no regrets then and only then can you share your opinions… I’m done. Erica, Dixie, when you’re finished I’ll be inside waiting.” She fixed the strap of her purse on her shoulder and just before she turned to walk away she sneered at David. “Oh! Whether it’s to honor a promise or not, you will back off. One word to my husband and your ass is grass,” she said, giving him a smile. “And I also I want you to remember how much of an mediocre doctor I am when they roll you into my ER. And one day they will and I want you to know it’ll be me they’ll call on,” she hinted. “No, it’s no threat either.” And with that she walked away.

Erica was on the brink of tears. Her hormones were hard to control now that she was so close to delivery, & that certainly didn't help. How dare David bring up what happened between her & Maria? She had suffered a miscarriage, she tried to return the baby, & then she finally did return the baby. That was in the past. She did that because she thought she was doing the right thing for Sonya... well, Maddie. David had done everything for himself.
She heard what he was saying about Angie & Dixie, though, & she nearly lost it. Before she could plan her counter attack, she saw the calm way Angie was reacting to his words & knew that she could only fight with back with a breath between every word. She had to keep her cool, especially when she watched Angie walk away.
"David, don't you ever, ever tell me that Bianca is not my business. Bianca is my daughter, & the only man who was ever like a father to her was Jackson. Maybe she has forgiven you, David, but she sure as hell will never trust you again. Not while you're still hurting your daughters," Erica shook her head, but took a deep breath, keeping calm.
She looked at David & said, "I wish you could be half the father to your kids as Angie is a mother to hers. She lives & breathes for her children, David! She would have never, ever agreed to your plan, not in a million years. Maybe she was confused because you crawled underneath her skin, but she would never hurt her kids," she shook her head again. "Not like you would."
"David, none of us need a lesson in parenting, but you do. Don't you get it? Marissa is with JR! Babe is the mother of his child! Why would you hurt him when you know that the only person gaining any pleasure from his pain is you? Why would you intentionally cause pain to your daughters by doing that? No matter what Babe ever did to Bianca, I'd never intentionally cause her pain. Neither would Dixie. Josh loves her, JR loved her... why would we ever push unnecessary pain onto our children... onto your child?" Erica asked, looking at him carefully & then over to Dixie, letting her know she was going to make a point to make him realize what he was saying was a lie. "You haven't changed one bit, & Bianca's not going to buy your act for very long."

"Yeah well, J.R and I have something else in common too! We both see you for the twisted son of a bitch you are. And I know we're not the only ones!" Dixie retorted, but saw red at the rest of David's commentary directed at her and her friends. Parenting lessons from a man who had two daughters that despised him? It was enough to make her laugh had the conversation been the least bit funny. Now all Dixie wanted was the conversation to be over and done with. And to tell Tad that she'd slapped David. She had a feeling he'd appreciate that.
Seeing the brilliant way Angie dealt with him, Dixie watched her walk away and couldn't help but feel impressed. And while Erica was holding her own, she was pregnant and the last thing she needed was dealing with madness like this.
"She's absolutely right, David. And for the record your 'backing off' has done nothing aside from stress out a pregnant woman. For your obsession with saving lives you don't seem to have a problem endangering an unborn one!" She scolded as she squeezed Erica's hand back, feeling protective even though of all people, Erica Kane didn't need protecting.
"Honestly David. You're right you didn't say you reformed. Call me crazy for thinking you were actually capable of it though. That you could still be the man I once cared about and defended, even loved! Who experimented on himself to create a drug that saved my life! Who gave me hope I could have a daughter. Who was there for me when that hope was taken away, with Bess... but, kept his promise and let me bring Kate into the world." Wiping a quick tear her expression changed from reflective and emotional to cold and uncaring. She didn't give a damn about David at all now, and it was time he knew that.
"Now all you've done for Kathy is frighten her into running away! You came to my house and by upsetting me you upset my daughter. If she knew I was here now with you she'd be terrified. The same way J.R is now underneath all the anger and the hurt. If you can cause them that kind of grief what's to say that pattern won't continue with Babe and A.J, or Bianca and her daughter?" She questioned. "And you have the nerve to say that we don't protect our kids? By not telling J.R I was trying to protect his heart from being shredded again at your hands! You may think he deserved that pain but I don't! I'm looking out for him same as I'm looking out for Kathy, finding that note you left today before she did, keeping her from even knowing about you. You think I need parenting lessons because of that, fine. But at least my children know deep down that everything I do is with their best interests in mind. I put them first, David. Not me. Your doing all this, explaining your actions..you're doing it to put you in a better light and hoping, the people you love acknowledge you for it. In case you didn't get the memo Angie and Erica and I are acknowledged, we are loved. And we didn't need to put on a show to earn it. Now... I think we're finished here." Dixie said, but glanced to the brunette to be sure.

All David did was just sit there, and listen to Angie with a big smirk on his face. He knew that she was right, but he wasn't going to let her know that. When he heard Angie say that she was done, and that she was leaving the table, David smiled bigger, and waved. "Walk away Angie like you always do..." David said, when he then turned his attentions to Dixie and Erica.
He listened to Erica, but with Erica he didn't agree, not one bit. "I have made mistakes where my daughters are concerned, but I love them, and I will always love them Erica, but I know that you wouldn't agree, but you and I are alot of like when it comes to what we will do for our children. I know that on more than one occasions you have hurt Kendall, and when Bianca came out, you didn't stand by your daughter like you should had, and do not get me started where Josh is concerned. Who knows what scars you will leave your little boy, and the unborn child you have waiting to come into the world, because you have sure as hell left scars to your adult children, and you and I both know it"
He then turned his attentions to Dixie. "You...honestly, I have nothing more to say to you Dixie. I swear ever since you got reunited with Tad, you have been sitting on your high horse, just like your best friend Angie. I have no more respect for you, and I know that you do not care how I feel about you, but quite honestly Dixie, when you are with Tad, I can't stand you, because atleast when you are not around Tad or your friends, you are real, but like I said, I have nothing more to say to you Dixie, and I will surely leave you and your family alone, because you or the Martins aren't worth it.."

Erica was about to leave, but something David said really stung her. "Yes, David, I absolutely made mistakes with my children. I know that I did! But the difference is, is that I'm chose to stop hurting them. I love my children more than anything in this world. I accepted Bianca, even though I know that it took longer than it should have! I think about that every single time I look at her!" she almost yelled, tearing up at his words.
She bit her lip to keep herself from crying, & continued, "I also hurt Kendall... & Lily & Reggie! I have hurt my children so much, & if I could go back & change that, this whole town knows I would! My children know I would! Not to mention Greenlee... She's no saint, but we all know I have done horrible things to her, & I regret it. I really do. I should never have tried to come between her & Jackson & I know that now," she said, blinking quickly, to keep her tears from falling.
She then breathed carefully. "You don't need to tell me what I've done wrong with Josh, because I know. I know that I am not the mother my children deserve, but I am making myself better, & in doing so, I'll never make the same mistakes with these little boys... or with any of my grandchildren. Never. But you... you will. You keep hurting them, David, & you know that you're hurting them. Whether it be directly or not, you're still doing it! Ask Marissa & Babe how they feel about the big surprise you sprung upon JR. When you can tell me that they're happy about what you did, then you can tell me what I'll be doing to my boys. But until then, I will not let your opinion affect my parenting! Colton is perfect, & this baby will be, too," she nearly sobbed, looking to Dixie.
Almost unable to talk, Erica whispered tearfully, "Can we please go?" She may have been strong before, but David attacking how she was raising her babies nearly sent her to her knees, especially since she barely had the energy to fight back.

"Neither are you Hayward..neither are you." Dixie said coldly. Through calling him by his first name, and not even showing the respect of titling him doctor. Seeing the way his hurtful comments affected Erica, she was seething and knew if Tad had been here he'd have clobbered the man. She on the other hand had acted out enough for the day. And when her friend looked tearfully at her she knew enough was enough. "Of course sweetie, c'mon." Dixie soothed, and after she shot one last icy glare at David, put her arm around the brunette and led her off the patio inside. Luckily, Angie was at a table close by so they quickly took a seat. And right away Dixie reached for the water pitcher, pouring a glass. "Here hon, drink this." She said, handing the water to Erica before turning to Angie. Her eyes saying everything she wanted to scream about David. "You were terrific out there, Ang. Should've been like you and walked rather than thrown the first punch. Regardless how good it felt."
