After Kathy drifted off, try as she might Dixie couldn't do the same. She was tired but at the same time, she wasn't. She was anxious and had this weird feeling in the pit of her stomach. Not entirely sure why she decided to just try and call Tad, maybe hearing his voice would settle her down enough to sleep. No such luck though, when she called it went straight to voicemail. Sighing she just decided to leave a message, keeping her voice low so as not to wake Kathy or anyone else. "Hey baby it's me. I know it's late but, I couldn't sleep. This bus isn't exactly comfortable and, I really wish I was curled up with you tonight. I miss you so much. Kathy's doing fine though, sleeping like a log and, she couldn't be happier to watch me make a fool of myself on the slopes tomorrow. Agh..remind me why I signed up for this again?", she chuckled lightly. "But..I just wanted to call and hear your voice and see how my babies are, remind them not to give their Daddy a tough time. Also if you can Tad, look in on J.R for me? I just want to know that he's, doing alright, you know? As alright as he can be anyways. Ugh, I know..I'm rambling but..it's just nerves I guess. Something about this..feels off all of a sudden. Hopefully tomorrow it'll be better. Tell the twins and J.R I love them and, I love you too Tad. Together for---OH GOD!!"
At the driver's outburst and the frantic swerving and sliding that followed, Dixie's eyes went wide, her breathing went shallow, and on instinct she threw her arms around Kathy, dropping her phone in the process. "Oh God..oh dear God..keep us safe. Keep me and my baby safe..keep my baby safe..." Repeating herself again and again and again, same way she had the night of the car accident, crying she buried her face in Kathy's hair while she clung equally tight onto her, trying to block out the screams and the chaos and above all, stay together. In the meantime memory after memory flooded into her head, dress shops, balls of yarn, chicken suits, park benches, twinkle steps, star necklaces. She remembered the first time she held J.R and Jamie, reuniting with Kathy, the day the twins were born, the way Tad held her and looked at her and kissed her in Myra's cabin last week.
All the good memories though didn't outweigh the horror. When the bus tilted and began tumbling, the impact forced Kathy out of her arms and across the aisle of the bus. Hurtled against the window the last thing Dixie heard was shattering glass. And the last thing she remembered was the fear stricken look on her daughter's face, before everything went dark.

It wasn’t the sound of Marissa’s first scream or the bus swaying and hitting bumps along the road, but her own moms voice shouting ‘OH GOD’ that startled Kathy awake from her sleep. At first she wasn’t sure what was happening, and slowly she tried to sit up, weighed down by her mom’s sudden tight hold on her. Gripped internally with fear she looked up at her mom and immediately clung back to her tightly.
“Mommy? Mommy!” she cried out, voice strained with panic. “Mommy I’m scared!” She could hear her mom praying under her breath, but the words were barely audible over everyone else. There was a noise like no other as the whole bus went over into the ravine and the screams seemed to get louder.
“Don’t let go, don’t let go, don’t let go,” she whispered to herself, but her grip wasn’t tight enough and her small arms were ripped away from around her mom as they became separated. “MOMMY!” She met her moms eyes for a brief second just before she disappeared out the window. There was a sickening crunch and the sound of a crack that met her ears before the darkness swept over her vision. OOC: I wasn't sure who went out the window! Was it Kathy or Dixie?

(OOC: meep! sorry about that. wasn't sure when I was writing it so I left it vague but wound up going with Dix..hope that's okay?)
The first thing Di realized was it was near impossible for her to crack her eyes open. Why was that? What was going on? Finally she managed to see through thin slits, snow gently falling from the sky. She was on her back and, it was snowing. And dark. And cold. Was this a dream? What was happening? Struggling she tried to sit up but was hit with a wave of pain, and immediately clasped her hand to the side of her head. She was tempted to lay back down but with shut eyes and clenched teeth, waited til the rush passed. Slowly, she removed her hand and cracked her eyes open again. Some blood came off on her palm from what she guessed was a cut on her forehead. But she wasn't dizzy anymore which was good, just distraught. "Oh God..oh my God." Suddenly she was overcome with one heartstopping memory after another. The bus swerving, the driver swearing as he struggled to keep control, the screams as luggage and equipment started to fall, and the panic as the bus toppled, taking the guard rail with it into the ravine. The worst memory that flooded back though was her panicked niece at her feet, crying as she watched her mother thrown into the glass and out the window as the bus rolled.
"Oh God...Dix..Dixie? K..Kathy?!!", she weakly yelled. Only to get a sinking feeling in her gut remembering who else was present. Her grandnephew, Jamie, Marissa, Colby, the list went on and on. Adrenaline kicking in, she struggled to stand up and try and look around. Luckily she could walk, but her right shoulder and arm hurt like hell to move. "Dixie? Kathy? Jamie? A.J? Anyone!", she cried as she slowly walked around. Keeping her eyes peeled in the dark for signs of life.

Colby looked up when she heard Di Henry’s voice. “Di, over here!” she called out, getting Dixie’s sister’s attention. She wished she could see Jamie’s smiling face and to hear him reassuring her that everything would be okay, but the next best thing would work. “I need help, I’m stuck under some metal from the bus,” she explained to the older blonde.

With Adrian and pretty much everybody on the bus out, Madison took this time to think back on the few times she and her family traveled up to their ski lodge many many years ago. Adrian had said something that left her mind wandering. Had she really not did anything fun? Had she really passed up the opportunity of trying something so fun looking? As she tried and tried to answer her own questions about her own life she came to the conclusion that what she told him was true. She had never went out on the slopes, never did anything that would involve her getting scratched up. “Nope… Not good at all,” she muttered, looking back out the window and sighing.
Madison was about to close her eyes to ward off the sudden attacks of horrible memories when she heard a noise. Picking her head up, she glanced over and smiled when she saw Frankie giving her that smile she loved so much. “Hey,” she mouthed back and followed his eyes to Adrian. When their eyes connected yet again and he whispered those three little words that held such a big meaning she blushed. “I love you more,” she whispered back, wishing like hell she could lie in his arms and feel his lips on her.
In the past months she and Frankie had grown really- really close and she and Mrs. Hubbard were making some strides as well. They actually sat through brunch one day without any harmful words or bloodshed. Madison assumed it was because the Chief and Frankie were there. Had she been left alone it probably would have been a different story.
Chuckling at the thought she had been totally oblivious to what was happening around her until screams pierced the silent bus. Gasping when the bus started to swerve, she sat up and tried to see what was happening only to see the wheel slip from the drivers grasp. She hadn’t realized she’d been holding her breath until she felt somebody clutch onto her shirt. As she went to grab hold of Adrian her head knocked against the window and everything after that became one big blur.
Elsewhere at the Site
Opening his eyes, Adrian started to look around and put together what just happened. One minute he was lying in Madison’s arms and in the next he was being tossed around. “Frankie,” he cried softly, trying to push his little body up from the snow only to cry out in pain and slip back down to the ground. “Owwww!” He yelped, turning onto his back and favoring his left arm. “Frankie! Madi!” He called. “Momma… Daddy… Help,” he cried more into the darkness.
Somewhere in the dark distance though he heard somebody calling out. The voice sounded different. Weird and scary. "I want my momma," he muttered before everything went dark yet again.

Staggering around still trying to absorb what had just happened, Di could've sworn she heard someone yelling in the distance, and squinting in the dark saw something moving around. "I...I'm coming!", she called out, and moved as fast as she could without straining her shoulder, Approaching the blond she noticed she was trapped under some metal. "Hey Colby..", she winced, kneeling down near her. "Yeah you are a little stuck..I can try and get you out but it might take a minute, my arm is killing me." Using all her strength she managed to pry the metal up just long enough for Colby to escape, but the effort hurt like hell and she slumped back against a tree in pain. "Are..are you okay?", she asked nervously, wondering if she had any injuries. "I..I haven't seen Jamie or anyone else around yet..you were the only voice I heard. You didn't hear anyone, did you?"
Meanwhile....
When Frankie came to, he realized he was in a ditch of some type. Not only that but he was chilled to the bone, and confused. Not remembering what had landed him here. "Damnit..what the.." Sitting up, rubbing his aching head suddenly everything came flooding back, the accident, and more importantly his loved ones involved in it. "Omigod..Madi..MADISON!!! ADRIAN!!!!"
Adrenaline coupled with fear rushing through him, he dragged himself out of the ditch and immediately tried to make a run for it. But right away his left leg gave out on him to his dismay. "God damnit!" Forcing himself to take deep breaths and remain calm, he grabbed the first branch he could find, planted it in the ground and used it to haul himself upright. Once semi-standing, he braced himself on it and used it as a crutch. Treating his injury would have to come later, right now his job was to find his love and his brother, along with others. God, how many others were there.
Hobbling a bit though, he realized he couldn't keep this up without a sense of direction. He needed someone to get to, someone to push him to keep going. Otherwise the cold and his leg would keep him from making any progress. "ADRIAN!! MADISON!!! Anyone, if you can answer me..let me know where you are!!
Not getting a response, tears filled Frankie's eyes but he quickly wiped them away, and then looked skyward. "God please..give me some help here. Let me find them, please." Suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he thought he spotted a flash of bright green and then it clicked..Adrian's ski jacket. The kid had insisted on getting a new one for the trip and picked one no less bright than a highlighter. And for that Frankie thanked God. "ADRIAN!" Stumbling over in the direction as fast as he could, finally he got close enough and crawled the rest of the way. "Adrian..hey man it's me. It..it's okay, it..it's all gonna be okay."

Jamie was next to wake up from the accident, finding himself a little groggy from all the events that happened. Blood can be seen coming from many scratches that he has, along with bumps and bruises. When his head finally clears, it then dawns on him what has happened. "Oh man, I hope everyone's okay.."
He said that to himself as his mind went into panic mode as he did his best to get to slowly get to his feet. He just had to know that everyone was all okay. He knew he'd be fine, he would take care of himself later, but right now was all about this family and friends.
"KATHY! DIXIE? COLBY? HELLO!! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?" He was hoping that someone would answer him and he could follow the sounds of their voice to them.

"I wish I was there too Marissa...just make sure you and AJ have a good time, try not to let him go too crazy on the slopes" JR told Marissa as he sat in the back of his car outside of the Martin residence where he had his driver take him. He had decided to go see Tad and twins, knowing they stayed home. He had wanted to tell Tad about what he was planning. His had instinctively went into his pocket, pulling out the engagement ring he had gotten for Marrissa. His private jet was already waiting to take him to meet the others. His plan being to surprise her on her trip, and pop the question then. But he wanted Tad's take first. "I dont want either of you worrying about me, just take care of AJ for me, tell him I love him" JR said, worried he hadn't done enough for his son lately. The next thing that JR heard made his heart catch in his chest. "Marissa!"
He heard her say she loved him and heard the screams and a crash before the line went dead. "Marissa! Marissa! Oh god no..." He said in a panic. He knew he had to get to her, but looking up at the house knew that Tad would want to be there too, he just hoped his step-father was home right now.
JR ran out of the car and up to the front door, pounding as loud as he could "TAD!!! Open up! If you're there please, its an emergency!"

Lily had been focused on her reading when she heard the swearing up front. The loud cursing made her nervous as she clutched her book and feeling the bus swerving she started rocking lightly. "No.....no...." She said, starting to panic before the crash occured and she lost consciousness.
When she woke up things seemed dark at first, with lots of smoke from the crash clouding her vision. She felt a pain in her arm and looked down to see it broken and disformed. Tears formed in her eyes as she tried to push herself up, feeling some pain in her ankle as well, but still able to put some weight on it as she got up. She was shaking as she looked around, wanting to wake up and have this not be real.
"Hello...." She said, her voice wavering, wondering how this could have happened. She took a few steps and saw a hand peering out from beneath some rubble. She walked over and saw it was the driver. "You....you crashed us....you need to get up and fix this" She said as she knelt down beside the motionless figure. "Wake up....please...."
Lily stared at the body, seeing it was trapped by some pieces of the bus. She used her good arm to push off some of the metal. When she could see the driver in its entirety she let out a scream. The blood...so much red, everywhere, setting off her triggers. There were pieces of metal spearing the body in various areas, including the neck, making her sure at this point that the driver was dead.
She backed away quickly, putting her arms around herself as she rocked shaking her head. "Bad...bad....help...." She repeated to herself not able to get the image of the driver out of her head and afraid to search for more people but needing to get away from here.

OOC: I’m throwing in a bit more drama! The bus is gonna have rolled onto some cracking ice over a river where it is slowly being submerged. Anyone still wanting to be on the bus is welcome to be part of it! =) Also the bus is upside down and Kathy has a bad concussion, and a few broken bones. Water lapped against the side of Kathy’s face where she lay on what was once the ceiling of the bus. Muffled shouts and screams seemed to float and echo in the distance, but she couldn’t make out what they were saying, or why they were shouting. In fact she didn’t understand what was going on at all.
Opening her eyes was a daunting task especially when she felt completely numb and all she wanted to do was close them again and drift off back to sleep. What she saw through her blurry vision was her own small hand resting in a small pool of water. The water wasn’t completely clear either; red was beginning to swirl around in it. The whole thing didn’t make sense and when Kathy tried to move she found she wasn’t capable.
More outbursts of shouting came from somewhere further away this time and she wondered if she was in trouble. Had she done anything wrong to make anybody angry? She didn’t know, she didn’t remember, she couldn’t make sense of what had happened. Sleep was on the horizon of her mind and the blanket of warmth and comfort that came with it was pulling her back into the darkness.
There was the horrible sound of metal shifting and creaking under the weight of the ice as the bus slipped further into the hole, threatening to be swallowed up by the river. The water level rose a bit higher inside it through broken and open windows...

Together, Colby helped Di get the metal up enough for her to get out from underneath it, and she was sure that it hurt like hell to the older blonde, as she slumped back against a tree in pain. “I’m okay, yes, I think I broke my leg, though,” Colby replied to Di’s question. “And no, I haven’t seen anyone else either, at least not yet.”
Her ears perked up at someone else calling out, and a weak smile swept onto Colby’s face. “JAMIE, we’re over here!” she yelled as loud as she could into the bitter cold of the early evening.

Else where on the crash site, Marissa still layed on the ground unconcious. There was blood soaking the snow around her head obviously something had cut her when she went flying out of the bus. AJ slowly begins to stir next to her you see him slowly move his arms before he opens his eyes and begins to look around. The moment he notices his aunt Marissa laying on the ground beside him. He raises up abit and begins to shake Marissa abit as he begins to speak.
"Marissa.... Aunt Marissa please wake up I'm scared.... Please wake up..."
AJ continues to shake Marissa finally getting a low groan from the brunette. She slowly begins to stir her eyes lids slowly start to flutter as AJ begins to speak once more.
"Marissa please wake up please... I dont know where Grandma Dixie or anyone else is...."
Marissa obviously hearing AJ slowly begins to flutter before she slowly begins to open her eyes as she begins to speak in a weak sounding voice.
"AJ... what happened..."
Marissa half whispered those words as she slowly goes to set up. Her body felt numb from the cold but she did notice the unnatural angle of her arm knowing it was bound to be broken. But she had no idea what other injuries she had, but she couldn't let her nephew set there all alone. So Marissa manages to brace her back against the wall, she motions for AJ to cuddle up next to her which he immediatly does. She wraps her uninujured arm around him as she begins to speak.
"Are you alright hun does anything hurt..."
AJ looks at marissa for a moment before he points down to his knee as he begins to speak.
"My knee hurts a little bit and so does my side and I have a couple of cuts. But your arm dosent look so good and neither does your forhead momma..."
That shocked Marissa that he called her momma, but she thought she was imagining it. She holds him as close as possible before she begins to speak.
"I'm sorry baby lets see if we can find someone to help us... *yells* HELP SOMEONE WERE OVER HERE PLEASE HELP US..."
Marissa says those words loudly hoping someone would hear them and be over to take care of the two of them soon before it started to snow again...

Whatever darkness Madison had started to drift off too looked a hell of a lot better than the scene that greeted her when she opened her eyes and looked through whatever sticky substance that rolled down. “Oh god,” she mumbled, when she saw what appeared to be a crack in something that seemed to have gone directly under her. Trying not to panic but failing miserably, she went to lift herself up but stopped all movements, even stopped breathing when she heard something cracking. It took her a minute but once realization hit her she entered full panic mode. “Ice… Oh my god,” she cried softly.
“Stop moving!” She heard somebody, somewhere yell out to her. Madison resisted the urge to pull her head up and look over and say something mean. Something like, ‘You think!’ or ‘Smartass I’m afraid, ice is cracking by the second and I could drown. Don’t you think I’ve put some thought into my actions?’ “I’m going to come out there and get you,” they said in a cautious tone. Madison went to say something to that when the ice began to crack again and to her left heard metal creaking. She slowly glanced over and saw a huge hole in which the bus made on impact, pulling the bus under inch by inch “No! Don’t!” She called back. “Please,” she begged, shaking with fear. The bus couple with her weight was enough, adding anymore would just sink it and her. Whoever the person was with the genius idea to come out on the cracking ice stayed where they were and started mumbling something off the handle. Not needing to hear anything about people dying and people getting lost or whatever, Madison shut him out. Shut out the screams she heard coming from one direction and shouts of help coming from another.
Tears pouring from her eyes, Madison slowly began to lay her head back down when the sound of cracking and a soft whimper stopped her. When she looked back to the bus she saw it was starting to go down faster and not only that but she could have sworn she saw hair. A head full of hair. A couple of heads.
*Ice Cracking*
“Frankie,” she whimpered herself, squeezing her eyes shut. It was only a matter of seconds before the ice fully cracked under the pressure of the bus. “Oh god, somebody please help.”

Stirring, it didn't take Dixie long to know that something wasn't right. She had the same gut wrenching feeling in the pit of her stomach she did after the car accident. Only this time God help her it felt even stronger. She realized she was sprawled out on something sharp and cold, and whatever it was was digging into her chest, torso and the side of her face. She had to move but was so cold it seemed near impossible.
Slowly, she opened her eyes and immediately, her breath hitched and her eyes widened. From the ledge on the side of the ravine where she'd wound up, she was overlooking a river, and the bus slowly submerging into it. And right away everything flooded back. "Oh God...oh..oh my God..." She tried her best not to panic but wasn't having an easy time. Everyone had been on that bus, did everyone escape? Right away she thought of Jamie, Marissa, A.J, Adrian..were they okay?
"K...Kathy?", she choked out. Thinking of her daughter, the fear in her eyes, tears filled Dixie's until another horror sank in.The last memory she had was Kathy being was thrown into the bus aisle. What if she hadn't gotten out? "Oh..oh God..oh God." Stammering she skidded a bit on the slick rock and immediately it grounded her. She couldn't help anyone if she panicked and tumbled off the ledge. "Ok..okay you can do this. Ju..just climb down, just climb down. I..it's not that far..you..you can do it."
Wincing from the cold that made her muscles stiffer than she'd like, she shimmied a bit off the ledge until she was just holding onto it with her hands. Looking behind her for a stepping stone for her foot, she found one and nervously continued to scale the wall. So far, so good. Glancing over her shoulder there wasn't that much farther to go, if she braced herself on one more stepping stone she should be able to reach the bottom. But stretching her foot to reach it, the stepping stone crumbled away and she gripped the rock she was holding for dear life. Struggling she tried to find another place to set her foot but couldn't do it. Her hands were too cold, the rocks were too slippery. She fought to hang onto the ledge but couldn't, and finally her one hand slipped and she was thrown into the rock wall. Feeling a pain in her knee she glanced down, and saw a long gash that had torn through her jeans. Taken aback, her other hand gave out and tumbling back, she fell a good distance and landed in a crumpled heap on the ground.
Using all her strength this time to open her eyes, wincing, she turned her head and noticed she'd fallen fairly far from the riverbank. From what she could see of the bus it was still above water but not by much. "K..Kathy..oh God, omigod..", she whispered, tears filling her eyes. She knew that her baby was on that bus. Now she just had to get to her. Sitting up she tried to stand up and walk to the river, but her knee gave out and she fell on her stomach. "Damnit!" Near tears, she tried at least to sit back up. If she couldn't get to Kathy herself she could at least sit up and scream her head off til she got someone's attention. But suddenly, even sitting was difficult, and when she tried to take a deep breath she was hit with flutters followed by sharp pains. Immediately her hand flew to her chest and her face paled even more. She knew this sensation well but, God it couldn't be happening. Not again. Not now.
"H...help! Som..someone, ple..please hel..help..", she gasped, fighting to catch her breath with every word. Looking around frantic, she thought she saw someone in the distance. She tried to yell but it came out a wheeze, so she resorted to the next best thing. Picking up a rock she chucked it hard as she could in the figure's general direction. Hoping it would get their attention, and get her and her baby help.

((OOC: If you had someone else in mind for the figure in the distance let me know and i can delete this!))
Lily was wandering, stuck in her head and afraid of what she'd find wherever she went. She wanted to be home with her Dad and Erica. She wanted to be safe in her room, in her bed. Right now she wanted to be anywhere but here. Anywhere that was safe and where she didn't have the image of the driver in her head, covered with all the red, and dead. Tears were streaming down her face as she shivered in the cold. She felt completely alone out here, and almost forgot about everyone else on the bus until a rock was thrown and fell a few feet in front of her. She looked up snapped out of her daze for a moment. The rock hadn't fallen, and the direction it came from meant someone must have been over there throwing the rock. She was immediately struck with two thoughts. Either someone was trying to get her attention, or it was someone who wanted to cause her further harm. She had kids in her old school who would throw things at her, she was used to the teasing and bullying. But when they did it there was always yelling and taunting with it, this rock came with none of that. There were no threats or name calling.
"Hello? Is...is someone there? Please...I wanna go home" She called out before deciding to risk it and venture her way over. She wanted to see someone else who was alive right now, but was afraid of just finding more people like the driver.
"Where are you? I dont like this place!" She called as she got closer and saw the part of the bus submerged in the water.
