(OOC: No sweat, Lily works fine! Waiting with bated breath to see if anyone would respond to her rock toss, Dixie could've cried with relief when she saw someone indeed coming her way. From the distance she was at, she saw the blond hair and first assumed it was Colby, but looking more closely realized it was Lily Montgomery. She didn't know Lily well, she didn't remember even having a conversation with her. But she knew from Erica and Jackson that she hated the color red and any type of physical contact, and also remembered Kathy and her were friends. Taking comfort in that she waved her closer, using the torn sleeve of her jacket to wipe some of the blood from her knee that had already started swelling. Maybe Lily could help or find someone to help, just the fact that someone else was here that cared about her little girl was relief in itself. "L...Lil, Lily..", she wheezed. "I...I'm Dix..Dixie. Kat..Kathy's mom." Just saying her daughter's name was making Dixie emotional, and made it even harder on her to breathe. But when Lily looked at her with concern she shook her head, not giving a damn about herself. "D...don't, w..worry, about me. I..it's K..Kathy..I.." Choking back a sob she sighed. "I th.th, think....she..she's...in.." Not even able to say the words she pointed over to the bus. "Sh...she, needs...help. She, needs..me! And...and I can't.." Choking on air and not just because of the pain in her chest, Dixie was on the verge of hyperventilating with tears in her eyes. Four of her loved ones were out there hurt or even worse and she was too weak to do a damn thing. She couldn't remember the last time she felt so helpless.

After rousing Adrian and realizing he had a bump on the head, a broken right arm, possibly a few bruised ribs, and was chilled to the bone, Frankie scooped him up, gave him the fleece he had on underneath his parka, and carried him, ignoring the pain in his foot. He was determined to find the group and gather them in one area. It was the only way they were going to get through this nightmare in one piece. As he carried Adrian, telling him corny jokes to keep him from falling asleep, he listened hard for anyone needing help until finally hearing a woman's yell. "Hey you hear that buddy?" "Yeah...uh, yeah.." Adrian mumbled. He was so tired but Frankie ordered him to stay awake and, as he got warmer it got a bit easier. "Alright I think it was coming from, that direction. What about you?" "I.I think so, yeah...yeah go for it!" "Good kid. Whoever this is is gonna be awfully happy you're accompanying me." "Yeah don't I know it.", smirked Adrian. Finally they got close enough to see brunette and blond hair. "Hey..I..I think that's A.J?" "I think so too...Marissa!?! A.J!!" Are you two alright?!, he yelled. It was tough for him to keep walking and he wanted to gauge their injuries. If they weren't hurt too badly maybe they could meet up with him and help track down the others.

Hearing someone call her name, Marissa lifts her head and looks over seeing Frankie. She continues to set there with AJ snuggled up next to her with her rubbing his arm to help keep him warm with her uninjured arm as she begins to speak.
"Were over here Frankie... AJ said his knee is bothering him and he has several cutes and bruises. My arm is broken bad, and I believe I have a gash or something on my forhead. My left side is hurting kind of bad almost like I've broken a rib or something... Is everyone else ok?"
Marissa says those words as she shivers abit, it was starting to get colder and if they didn't find the rest of the group soon. And atleast try to get a fire going they were all going to freeze to death and that wasn't a good thing at all. Marissa takes a shallow breath and rests her head back against AJ's as she begins to speak to Frankie.
"I think I might be able to help you find the others I just haven't taken the chance to get up I dont know if anything else is broken or what ever. I know we need to find everyone and get us all in one area so we can atleast figure out a way to start a fire then figure out a way to call for help..."
Marissa thought back to her phone conversation with JR, she knew he probably heard the whole thing. And by now he is probably worried sick about her, AJ, Dixie, Kathy, Colby and various others on the bus. She just hoped that he was alright, and wasn't doing anything stupid...

After hearing Colby's voice, Jamie follows it to make it over to her. He kneels down next to her and Di seeing her nursing her leg. "Are you both okay? It don't look like you are Colby with you holding onto your leg" He couldn't believe this was happening. They were just going to go on a trip and have fun, but fate had something else in mind for everyone...
"Let me know if this hurts okay? I am going to do a few things to see if it's broke or not." Colby nods her head as the next thing he hears isn't winces of pain from Colby, but instead cracking.. cracking of the ice from under the weight of the bus that he hears and gets the attention of everyone around. "Oh no.. that doesn't sound good."

Sleep, if unconsciousness could be called that, kept Kathy out of the awareness from the dangerous reality that was going on around her. The only thing that pulled her from the darkness was the sudden coughing fit from her inhaling cold water. It chilled her right to the bone and aroused her enough into the foggy real world.
“Mmm...” she moaned, trying to lift her head above the water level but the task was almost impossible. Her body felt heavy and any movement she made sent a wave of pain across her forehead. The whole situation on how she came to be where she was wasn’t coming clear, and as she tried to focus on the distance and what she saw was someone through the window a few feet away. She couldn’t make out who it was or if they were hurt like her, but she hoped that they weren’t in any danger.
“H - Hel... help m-me, p-please,” she called out weakly, voice small and trembling. “I...” It was no use trying to talk anymore, the effort was draining and she was feeling weak again. Putting her head back down against the ice cold ceiling of the bus, she lay still, trying to keep her nose above the water so she could breathe. “I... I want A-Aunt Julia.” She didn’t know where she was or if maybe the person outside the bus was her, she wished she could remember what was happening, what was going on, her aunt would know these things.

“We’re fine, Jamie, and yes, it’s my leg. I think it’s broken,” Colby replied then nodded when he said to let him know when it hurts, and that he was going to do a few things to confirm her suspicion it was broken or not. But Colby didn’t cry out in pain, not right away at least. The sickening sound they all heard next was not the most favored sound…the cracking of the ice from the weight of the bus.
When Jamie said that it didn’t sound good, Colby could only nod in agreement. The next few moments were filled with the trio’s heavy breathing and the howling wind that came with the bitter cold of late January. “We – and I mean you & Di – should go check on the others, Jamie,” she told the other two. “I obviously can’t go anywhere, not with my leg. I’ll be okay here.”

Lily was relieved when she came over to find someone else who had survived this. "Dixie..." Lily nodded, not knowing her well but knowing she was Kathy's mom and friends with her dad and Erica. Lily was fighting off a complete meltdown, knowing it would be easier and more comforting to just find a place to sit and escape into her own head, but some sense of survival had kicked in and kept reminding her she wasn't safe yet.
Lily looked over as Dixie pointed saying Kathy was in the bus, which was sinking into the crack in the river. "No...not Kathy...not like him" Lily said, tears blurring her eyes as she assumed the worst for her friend, that she was like the driver. "She was nice to me...its not fair"
She faintly thought she heard Kathy's voice which shocked her a little, before hearing Dixie say Kathy needed help. "She's alive?" She voiced shocked, "We need to get her out of there...but if you're hurt you can't, I shouldn't leave you, but I can't not help her...."
This was hard for Lily, it wasn't a logical situation. She couldn't just figure out what she was supposed to do, and what was expected of her. "I....I can try to bring her here...please don't die"

The voice was small and so weak, but Madison heard it. Not only shaking from fear but also shaking from the ice and the strong wind that was giving her body a beating, Madison took a deep breath. She knew what she was about to do was stupid, but she had to do something. There were still people on that bus and she wasn’t sure about the others, but she knew for sure one of them was alive. “Hold on. I'm coming," she muttered, coming back onto her hands slowly and making extra cautious moves toward the bus. It was in that moment the image of Adrian and Frankie popped up in her head. Had they gotten off the bus? Were they still on and possibly d… “No,” she grumbled. “No.”
Madison started to slide toward the bus slowly and carefully with strength only god knew where it came from and had almost missed the next thing that could possibly change her life and whosever else lives that were left on that bus.
Like the calm before a storm everything became still and quiet and then suddenly the lake opened its huge mouth and swallowed not only the bus whole but Madison as well. The fight Madison had before was starting to vanish thanks to the below temperature water that wrapped her tightly and refused to let her go, but just like it refused, she refused to just give up and not try to help this person. Pushing and pushing as hard as she possibly could, Madison swam toward the bus and it was then she caught the sight of a little girls face pressed against the window of the bus. Hold on, she thought and just as she got a little bit closer the water claimed her breath.

Kneeling by Marissa and A.J, Frankie first gave A.J a once over and saw his knee looked a little swollen. "Looks like a bit of a sprain, bud. But hang in there, once we make camp someplace I'll treat it best I can until we have some more help." "Okay..it doesn't hurt too bad though." Nodding with a smile, Frankie tousled the boy's hair before turning to Marissa. "Yeah you have a bit of a gash, here.." Taking a bit of snow and letting it melt he cleaned the wound as best he could. "Looks worse than it is though, you may not even need stitches. I think though that arm may need a cast.", he informed. "Let me just check though...", reaching his hand beneath her coat he gingerly applied pressure to her ribs, leading her to wince. "Hmm, don't think it's broken but, I don't wanna take any chances. Once we make camp someplace just try and take it easy.", he instructed. "Can you stand?", he asked, slowly helping her to her feet and to his relief she looked to be steady. "Good thinking." Nodding in agreement that they needed to regroup, Frankie accidentally put too much pressure on his foot and winced. "Frankie are you okay?", A.J asked with concern. Biting his lip the stubborn man nodded. "I'll be fine bud, just hurt my leg a little bit."
Suddenly though he heard a distinct cracking sound that sent a shiver through him. Sure, ice cracked all the time but something was screaming at Frankie to check up on it, get there as quick as he could. "Okay guys lets try and get a move on, the sooner we find the others the sooner we can find some help outta this place. C'mon." He said, as Adrian walked alongside Marissa so Frankie could carry A.J.

After cringing a bit herself when Jamie checked Colby out, Di recovered only to hear a familiar sound that made her blood run cold. The last time she heard that was right before Janet had shoved her into a frozen lake. This time though it left her more frightened and like even more was at stake. "No..Colby we're not just going to leave you here.", she refused. The last thing they needed was more separation. They all had to locate eachother and then try and get help. "Look lean on my good arm and lean on Jamie. It'll be fine, I promise. We just need to stick together, okay?", she ordered. Snapping into cop crisis mode as she and Jamie helped get Colby to her feet and supported her so she could stand and walk.
After going a ways she spotted Frankie with A.J on his shoulders limping in their direction, with Marissa and Adrian close behind. Jogging towards them, she smiled at her grandnephew before turning to the doctor. "Di are you alright?" "Fine, just my shoulder. Colby's leg got caught in some rubble but Jamie's helping her. How are you?" "We're, holding up.", Frankie said, looking pained but determined. "Have you found any of the others?" "Not yet but, listen we're heading that way. We heard ice cracking and, I dunno I just..got a bad feeling."
Not wanting to admit he had the same bad feeling, Frankie nodded and continued to limp along with Di and the others close by, until Adrian spoke up. "Frankie what's that?" "Omigod..." Seeing the bus barely poking out of the water, not caring about his foot Frankie broke into a run, with the others following behind Setting A.J down and limped over as fast he could. Fear shining in his eyes. It didn't even take him not seeing Madison with the others, in his gut he felt she was on that bus and in trouble. "M..MADISON!! MADISON!!!!!", he choked out, right before his leg gave out and the bus began to go under completely.
"Dixie!!!", Di cried, spotting her hysterical sister and Lily trying to calm her down. Kneeling close by she realized she was hyperventilating. "Dix..Dixie calm down okay just breathe, just.." "Kath....Kathy!!!" "What!?"
Just one look in Dixie's eyes confirmed what she feared the most, and immediately Di broke into a run and dove into the icy water. Knowing she had limited time she fought against the cold and kept her eyes peeled til finally, she spotted hair that matched her own through the cracked open shell of the bus, and eventually her niece's angelic face pressed up into the glass.
Swimming through the cracked shell of the bus, she managed to get close enough to touch Kathy and see Madison, and worked as hard as she could to pry them out of the bus and towards the surface. Finally it was just within reach, but freeing them from the metal left her exhausted, the water was so cold, her eyes were so heavy, her arms felt like useless weights and her legs were barely able to kick. Slowly she felt her energy slip away and this numb, warm, sleepiness start to overtake her...

Colby nodded at Di’s words. “I know, I’m just afraid to walk, I suppose,” she said sheepishly then did as the older blonde instructed, leaning on the other two, remembering to keep her leg straight as was still numb from the pain.
The terror didn’t stop there though. As soon as we arrived to where the bus was about to float underneath the ice, it was total chaos. “Jamie, help them,” Colby said on a choked sob, leaning on Marissa as he ran to do just that.

Kathy watched helplessly as the person out on the ice started making their way towards her and the bus. She wished she could make do something to help, anything at all, but moving at this point was like trying to walk through peanut butter. A sudden silence began to fill her ears, no sound of ice cracking, or the creaking of metal from the bus, and then it was gone, and there was only the loud rush of water racing in and filling up the bus.
“No!” Kathy screamed in panic and fear as the surface up above was lost only to be replaced by dark cold water. Struggling to swim, she found she couldn’t, her body numbed and frozen by the icy water that had already been pooling around her. The sight of Madison floating just outside of her window caused her to gasp, losing any bit of air Kathy had inhaled before the bus went under.
The dizziness that came with sucking in a lung full of water forced her body into a panic and slowly she began to lose consciousness. She didn’t feel her Aunt Di pull her out of the bus, or bother lifting her head to get air when her back bobbed to the surface.

Lily watched as Di ran past her into the bus. She turned to Dixie "I....I have to make sure Kathy gets out...." Lily said, needing to know her friend was alive when she kept seeing visions of Kathy looking like the driver of the bus had, with the blood and the metal sticking in him. She needed to see that Kathy was okay. Even if she was just watching Di pull her out, she had to see Kathy was okay.
Lily made her way across the ice, shaking from the cold and her nerves. She could see the cracks in the ice which made her fears worse. She could feel the unstable nature of the ice below her feet as she walked, slight shifts which she knew wouldn't hold for long. As she made it to the bus she peered in through the cracks. Di should have been out by now, she should have heard and seen them both by now. But as she looked in the first thing she saw was red, floating through the water. "NO!" She screamed, not wanting to see as much blood as she had earlier.
But the next thing she saw was Kathy, now free from the metal thanks to Di, floating up towards the surface, but she was face down. Lily moved quickly into the water, shocked at first by the cold water, but finding it actually helped to numb the pain of her broken arm. She went through the broken frame of the window and put her arm around Kathy, forgoing any uncomfortableness she normally would have felt at the contact. But before she pulled her out, Kathy noticed something else. Two other people were still in the bus, both looking like they may have passed out. Lily knew she couldn't do this and there was barely enough room to get out as it was. She didn't know what to do about the other two, but Kathy was now in her arm as she brought the young girl back out of the bus and to the surface.
Lily pushed her up onto the ice, before using the metal of the bus as a step to aid herself in getting to the surface. "Someone help! Please!" she yelled, hoping someone else was near by who could help Di and Madison.
"Someone needs to come...they need to come help....Kathy you need to be okay" Lily said forcing herself to remember back to the child cpr she had taken when Miranda and Gabby had come to live with them. "Kathy please wake up..." She said between compressions. "HELP US!!!" She said looking back to the bus, wondering if she should be going back in instead.

"Oh..oh God, DI!!!!, Dixie screamed, watching Di sprint towards the river and dive underneath. Knowing her daughter and sister were both in the ice water was torture. Terrified she waited and waited, until to her shock Lily made her way towards the ice and bravely assisted in bringing Kathy to the surface. "Kathy..KATHY!!!" Seeing her daughter as limp as a rag doll and dripping wet in the cold, was enough to make any restraints from her knee or her breathing go away. She had to get over there and help her baby. Rising as quickly as she was able, she made her way towards Lily's spot on the ice. Quickly clasping her hands over her mouth as tears filled her eyes. "Omigod..oh God m..my baby." Painfully she knelt down, fearfully watching as Lily performed CPR. When the time came for her to pause, immediately Dixie shifted onto her stomach and inched closer to her daughter, stroking where Kathy's hair met her forehead and gently kissing her there. Her skin felt like an ice cube and her lips were a godawful shade of blue. Knowing Di and who knows how many others would have the same symptoms, tore Dixie's heart in half. But right now all her attention was on her daughter. "K..Katie it's me, h..honey it's Momma, Listen y..you gotta jus..just hold on okay? Y..you stay w.with us, baby. Kat..Kathy c..c'mon. I..I'm right here, sunshine. Momma's right here, baby. I..it's okay. Open your eyes now. Come b.back, c..come back to me, Kathy.", she begged, taking Kathy's hand in her's tightly all the while praying she'd start breathing, that she'd survive along with all the others.
In the meantime Frankie exchanged looks with Jamie before going into the water himself. Wanting to ensure someone else was there to assist before he dove in. His injuries be damned there was no way he could sit back anymore and watch. If he didn't find Madison alive it would be on his head. Sucking in as much air as he could he dove beneath the crack in the ice and immediately spotted the blond hair. Di was closer to the surface but Madison was still down by the wreckage of the bus. And once he spotted her it was almost like he regained some strength. He was either gonna get to her or die trying. Swimming downward even more, relieved it was his leg, not arm that was disabling him he wrapped his arm around her waist securely and hauled her away from the metal. Right before it sunk even deeper into the dark water. Had he waited any longer she could've gone down along with that. Shaking that horror off, he struggled to make it towards the surface, his leg basically dead weight to him at this point. By some higher power though, he managed to break through to the surface of the water and shove Madison above onto the ice. "MADI! FRANKIE!!" Adrian cried, running over to the ice Frankie was struggling to climb up onto. "Bro take my hand! TAKE MY HAND!", he ordered. Looking like a commanding officer rather than a little kid to Frankie, which left him no choice but to obey orders. With all his might Adrian helped haul Frankie onto the solid ice. And after both Hubbards caught their breath they turned their attention to Madison, lying pale and unbreathing. "Okay bud y..you remember Ma t..taught you CPR, right?" "Yeah..yeah I do this.", Adrian recalled, and held Madison's nose to breathe into her mouth before Frankie started the compressions, and the same horrifying waiting game that Dixie and Lily were with Kathy.

Kathy was unaware of who was pulling her out of the water or what was really happening, lost to the world, the only thing she saw was her step parents and Aunt Julia. She could make them out as clear as day, they were waiting for her and she didn’t understand why. Could she be late for whatever it was they were here for? Weren’t her step parents gone with the angels, Julia was certainly wasn’t supposed to be there with them. Reaching out to touch them she stopped, hearing something call her and feeling the pull of life.
Something was happening, something forcing her further away from the people she cared about, but she didn’t want to go, didn’t want to leave them. Struggling to stay she reached out a hand, only to find her Aunt shaking her head and telling her she had to go, that everything would be okay. But a world wouldn’t be okay without them, she’d miss them and she’d be alone, again. No. No, her Aunt Julia was still alive, so she was going to be okay.
With words of encouragement from voices she couldn’t make out or recognize, Kathy started to open her eyes, immediately beginning to cough out water. It dribbled down the side of her chin, past her cheeks and pooled on the ice around her head. More water came up and when she was sure there was no more she sucked in a breath and turned towards the voice talking to her. A fierce wind swept past them and the cold became apparent, her body immediately trembling, teeth chattering together so hard she couldn’t speak.
“A - A - ” she began but her words got lost as she became unconscious again, her breathing weak, but at least she was.
