History: Everyone has their own set of baggage, and believe me when I tell you Babe has it all. From when she first came to Pine Valley to the tornadoes that took her life she went to Hell and back fighting for what she believed in. But let’s go back to when she first arrived in town already married to J.R. and during a drunken night slept with his half-brother Jamie Martin. The two kept their affair a secret until Babe discovered she was pregnant, and it was revealed not to be Jamie’s, but J.R.’s baby. When the truth finally came out about the affair due to J.R.’s digging somehow the two newlyweds managed to stick it out.
On a terrible stormy night Babe became stranded with Bianca who shortly soon after went in to labour. Helping to deliver the baby girl Miranda, Babe found herself going into labour as well, just as Paul Cramer showed up to help the two women. He left a mess upon his arrival, drugging Babe and staging a helicopter crash along with kidnapping Babe’s son to give to his sister. When Babe came to she was given Bianca’s daughter and told it was her child, who she named Bess. For the longest time Babe went on believing that Bess was truly her daughter but when the ugly truth came out, her son had in fact died and Bess wasn’t her daughter at all, she was Bianca’s. Not telling a soul about who the baby really was to protect her husband didn’t do her any good, because as well all know the truth has a way of coming out.
When Babe discovered her son was actually alive she decided to go on the run with him and Jamie to keep the boy safe after J.R. had pulled a few dangerous stunts. She did tell the truth to Bianca about Bess and Miranda returned to her rightful parent. While trying to get away with her son and Jamie, the three were caught by J.R. and taken to jail. Krystal was the one who took the whole charges on and went to prison on her daughters behave. Jamie and Babe were still close, but Babe soon realized that Jamie would never be able to go through with all of his dreams so the two eventually ended their relationship.
It wasn’t long before Babe decided to hatch a plan to win full custody of Little A, her son with J.R., however she wasn’t expecting to fall back in love with him. A series of incidents followed this new found love all of which got blamed on Amanda Dillion, who eventually kidnapped Babe. When she was rescued by J.R. and a few others, J.R. begged her to marry him, and they did. The two were married, along with Krystal and Adam renewing their vows, but the honeymoon didn’t last as an accident happened at Fusion that left Kendall and her baby in the hospital in critical condition. She knew her husband was trying to kill her and decided to turn him in, although J.R. saw the light and she saw the good in him, she lied in court to protect him, saying he wasn’t out for her blood at all. Although J.R. was grateful with what she’d done for him, he kept her at arms length during the time she spent with her platonic friend Josh Madden.
Around all of this the Satin Slayer was killing the women who worked for Fusion and after Babe being attacked she was pronounced dead. However she wasn’t dead at all, but kept alive and hidden by half of the town of Pine Valley. Krystal and J.R. grieved her loss, but eventually Krystal found out the truth and Babe was set to run away with Little A and Josh. Erica had other plans for her son and went and told Adam and J.R. the truth, ruining any chance of their escape.
Life was a little trickier after the truth came out about Charlotte, Krystal’s baby not being Adam’s daughter. The Carey women had to relocate to the Valley Inn and then shortly after to a new house. Babe would often work alongside her mother at The Comeback and she quickly became interested in Wes a bartender who worked there as well. It was discovered later that Wes wasn’t who he really said he was but in fact Annie’s brother Richie. People tried to stop Babe from seeing Richie but she was sure he was a good person. J.R. came to her saying Richie had set him up with a prostitute and she started to begin doubting him. She went undercover and soon discovered the truth, that J.R. was right, Richie had set him up and she cut all ties with Richie. Richie didn’t like the idea of Babe staying away from him and decided to kidnap her to a cabin in the woods. He begged and pleaded for a chance with her again and every time she turned him down. Not long after her rescue, he was found murdered, but it wasn’t Babe who did it.
During her job at Fusion, Babe made a new perfume called “Bella” but shortly soon after the launch of the new product people started having allergic reactions. Fusion underwent a lot of lawsuits. With all this going on Babe still found time for love with J.R. and he proposed to her and she happily said yes. The three of them went to California where they planned to raise Little Adam and get married. Adam however called them back to Pine Valley and issued them both subpoenas over the “Bella” scandal. On the day of their arrival, the town was hit with tornadoes and severe weather. Babe, J.R., Little Adam, along with others were caught in the middle of the storm while at The Comeback. Babe was rescued but she had severe injuries, so severe that the doctors said she wasn’t going to make it. She was later pronounced dead. This was when David Hayward, Babe’s father returned to town, and finding J.R. with his daughter decided to take her to the roof where he administrated a drug that got her heart pumping. When everyone thought they were looking at her dead body, what they weren’t seeing was her slow breathing.
David let the town mourn her, wanting to protect his daughter from the harm the Chandlers brought upon her and hoping to make sure when she was ready to return from the grave that she’d never go back... but Babe has a lot of reasons to return to Pine Valley, and when she’s finally able to, she will be back in full swing.
Sample Post:
“Momma, Little A,” she moaned as she tossed and turned on the bed. She could feel the fever beginning to grow again accompanied by the same nauseas feeling that always had her retching. Something inside of her was telling to fight off the infection, to get better, to not be where she was any longer. She had to get back home to her family, to her son, she had to make sure they were okay first and foremost.
The blurry figure that came to her bed, the same figure that always did, gently ran a hand through hair, smoothing it back and telling her soothing words, comforting ones. She couldn’t make out who he was or why he had her for so long, but she was damned if she was going to let him keep her there for much longer. Focusing as hard as she could she saw the door to the room open and thought now was a good a time as any. Pushing off the bed despite the mans protests, she flung herself in the direction of the door and was immediately caught in the blurry mans arms.
“No! I have to... to get home, to my son, to momma,” she begged weakly as she felt the sharp sting of a needle go back into her arm. “To J... R.” The world swirled before her eyes and she felt herself being scooped up and placed back on the bed.
“You’re getting strong every day Babe,” the mans voice soothed. “But now is just not the right time.” His words felt like a slap in the face as her whole world darkened.
