"It's okay, I was glad to do it.", Di smiled, before Marissa began describing her injuries. Even though she winced a bit hearing about her pins, she was relieved the younger woman was alright. She knew that if she'd been hurt badly, J.R would've been worse off than he currently was. A thought that broke her heart. "You're right..the main thing is that everyone is going to be fine. Focus on that..not, the rest. What happened was not your fault, Marissa. It was an accident, it couldn't be helped. Same as J.R's illness couldn't be helped. But we'll all get better and so will he. Just hang onto that.", she said firmly. "Of course..I can head back over there now or in a little while if you want to talk some more. I was starting to go crazy in my room all by myself so..I wouldn't wish that on anyone." Di shrugged. At this point she was fine being whereever she had to be, just so long as she was doing something to help the people she cared about.

"I could defintly use some company, these nurses around here are annoying exspecially nurszilla that just tried to throw you. Before you came in, I threatened to get out of bed and hobble my way down the hall until I found JR. I just needed to make sure he was ok. I scared the hell out of me DI, one minute he was talking to me and the next he just dropped. I thought there was a problem with the cancer and that was the last thought I had before they sedated me."
Marissa says those words as she reaches up and brushes her long hair from her face. She takes a breath as she looks over towards DI and begins to speak in a soft voice.
"I know how you feel if theres one thing I hate, its being in the hospital with nothing but four white walls stairing back at you... The last time I was in the hospital for anything at all was when I had pnumonia back when my adopted parents were still living. I hated it, but I guess I have to make do with it until the doctors tell me I can go home or what ever."
She says those words as she fiddles with the covers of her bed. She then looks over towards DI as she begins to speak once more having a idea not sure if its good or not but a Idea.
"DI I have a request could you get me out of this bed and take me to see JR. I want to see for myself that he is ok, as well as AJ and Dixie.... Please...."

"My mom is in heaven too...when she first went there, my dad told me she knew I loved her and that she loved me too....I bet its the same with your Aunt Julia, she knew even if you didnt tell her again" Lily said not sure if she was helping or hurting. She was trying to think of what her dad would do in this situation.
"It hurt a little when they put it on, but they said it'll get better" Lily said looking down at her cast and smiling when Kathy agreed to sign it. "You could draw a little picture next to your name too if you like" She told her then nodded. "Yeah...a month is long but they said the bone needs to heal"
Lily nodded again as she asked if Lily knew everyone who got hurt. "I know who they all are, but you were the one who I was closest too there...do you remember me?" Lily asked her wondering if she was part of the memory that was gone.
"No, I dont think it was a bad man that made us get hurt, I think it was just an accident. We were on a bus and it crashed....I pulled you out of the water, and did CPR...I thought I did it right, I'm sorry if it's my fault you don't remember everything" Lily said looking down, wondering if her friend would hate her, thinking she messed up.

Nodding in understanding when Marissa said she had to see J.R, Di listened to the rest of her words before responding. "I know. It scared me too. He's my nephew and I've always seen him as so, strong. A force to be reckoned with. Seeing him like this, I..I understand why you wanted to see him. Know that he was alright." Agreeing wholeheartedly about hospitals, Di smiled. "Yeah that makes two of us. But, what are we gonna do you know. They know best I guess." When Marissa asked if she could get her out of bed to see J.R, Di looked on nervously, biting her lip. "Alright look, J.R's not exactly around the corner, and I haven't seen my sister since she was admitted, recovery's on a different floor. But, you want to come with me down the hall to see A.J? He was asleep when I looked in on him earlier but, I'd feel better just sitting close by him.", she suggested. Thinking if Marissa wasn't supposed to be up and about bringing her to a room close by would be for the best.

“I’m sorry about your mommy,” Kathy told Lily quietly a sad look passing across her face. “I think it’s the same. I think both your mommy and my Aunt Julia are making rainbows up in Heaven with all the angels. But I still miss her lots.” She wished she could have said something to Julia before she’d gone away, now she wasn’t even sure if she’d be still able to stay at Wildwind even though Tad told her she could.
“I’ve never broken anything before, but I know it must hurt because my mommy and daddy got hurt in a car accident and my mommy had a broken leg,” she explained before nodding at the thought of adding a picture to her name. “I would like too. Do you think I could draw a flower? A month is a really long time it’s like as long as forever!” She picked out a purple and pink marker, one to write her name and the other to draw the flower, but stopped doing that when Lily spoke again. Nodding when asked if she remembered her.
“I remember you, you’re Lily,” she said, wincing a little as the stitched cut in her forehead hurt a bit. “Me and Aunt Julia invited you to our party during Christmas, and we helped put cookies in boxes.” Trying hard to remember something else about her friend she bit her lip. “You were at Emma’s mommy and daddy’s wedding.” Of course Kathy didn’t know it had been Ava at the time, but still. Going silent she listened to Lily explain what had happened and that it was just a bad accident. However she felt confused at the next part referring to the bus and the water and everything.
“I don’t remember getting on the bus, or the water,” she told her with a frown and tilting her head. “But it sounds like you saved me, thank you Lily. I – I don’t think it’s your fault I cant remember everything that happened to Aunt Julia or me, I think it’s my own fault. But Tad says I don’t have to go anywhere because Aunt Julia is gone, so I think I’ll be still living at Wildwind. Would you come and visit me?” Not realizing she didn’t live there anymore...

Lily nodded as Kathy explained how she had never broken anything but imagined that it must hurt and then mentioned her mommy and daddy got her in a car accident. Lily wish she had the skills to comfort the girl better. She was glad when Kathy went on to ask if she could draw a flower on Lily's cast, that was a much happier topic, and easier to deal with. "A flower would be nice and pretty..." She said about to tell her not to make it red but seeing the colors that Kathy picked out she smiled not needing to. She felt even happier to hear that Kathy did remember her. "Your Christmas party was fun, your Aunt Julia was very nice to me" Lily said then getting confused as she mentioned her being at Emma's mommy and daddy's wedding, but she decided to leave that part alone, and figured it was just Kathy's memory issues.
"Dixie said I saved you...but I was worried I did something wrong" Lily said, still wondering if she had been faster or more precise in the CPR if Kathy would have less issues now. Lily then got confused again as Kathy asked if she would come visit her at Wildwind. "I'll visit you if you'd like me to...I mean, I'd like to visit you...but I don't understand...why are you going back to Wildwind? Tad and Dixie have their own house..."

“It just wouldn’t smell like a flower,” Kathy informed her with a small giggle. She played with the pink and purple markers between her fingers as Lily spoke about the party they’d had. She could remember it quite clear and clung to it as she thought about Julia being gone now. Sitting up properly on the bed she leaned over and carefully wrote her name and drew a flower on the cast, pulling back and smiling at her work.
“It was fun, and Aunt Julia was nice,” she explained with a nod. “She liked you Lily. Remember she took me over to your house where we put decorations on the tree and had hot chocolate and put cookies in boxes?”
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” she told her with a shake of her head, wincing as the movement hurt the stitched cut on her forehead. “You saved me and that helped a lot.” She hoped Lily would see that it wasn’t her fault, Kathy was sure it was probably her own, that she was responsible for her memory acting up. “I would like that!” When Lily spoke of not understanding why she was going back to Wildwind, Kathy became confused and frowned before giving another shake of the head.
“I don’t live with Tad and Dixie,” she explained sadly. “I lived with Aunt Julia at Wildwind, so that’s where I’d be going back to. That’s where my room is and all my things are.” Starting to get worried she bit her lip and glanced towards the door as if hoping Tad would come in and explain. “Is that not where I live anymore? Did I get moved out to somewhere else? Tad said I wouldn’t have to leave Pine Valley. That’s what he said.” She was beginning to get worked up now, anxiously wanting answers to things she couldn’t remember.

"It's okay if it doesn't smell like a flower" Lily told her watching her friend draw the flower and write her name on the cast. Lily smiled after she was finished, feeling happy to have someone want to do this. She remembered being in high school and seeing kids who had broken bones have everyone at school sign their cast. It seemed to be the popular kids that had their cast filled (one of which Lily never was), but seeing she had a friend now, even if there was an age difference, made her feel happy and accepted.
"I'd like that too, I like visiting you. And you can come visit me too, anytime you like. Erica and my dad wouldn't care if you came over" Lily told her as Kathy got excited when Lily mentioned that she would still come visit her.
Lily saw how confused Kathy was getting and wondered if she wasn't supposed to be saying these things. "You wouldn't leave Pine Valley...they'd never have you do that" Lily assured the girl, knowing that neither Tad nor Dixie would ever send her away. "After your Aunt Julia's accident, you started living with Tad and Dixie, you have a room there too...they're really nice people. I can visit you there too"

“I would love to come visit you!” Kathy exclaimed with enthusiasm and a small nod. She knew it was going to be trickier now to arrange play dates without a grownup helping her, and it stung a little that she’d never be able to do that with Julia again. She hoped Erica and Lily’s dad would be alright if she did come, because it was something Kathy would like very much. However she was still confused over the living situation with Dixie and Tad, and was getting more upset over not remembering all this.
“Are you sure?” she asked, needing to make sure this was all true, because if that was the case she wanted to hear it from Tad too. “Why did they let me stay with them? Didn’t Aunt Julia’s family want me? I met them once.. I – I think, and they were nice. Did they not want to come here and live with me in Wildwind?” As much as the thought of living with Tad was what she’d wanted for a long time she couldn’t help but remember a time she’d met Julia’s sister and her step-cousins. “Can we find Tad and ask him?” She was moving off the bed now, hoping down on wobbly feet and looking back at Lily. “Please?”

Lily smiled happily as Kathy was enthusiastic about coming to visit her. People usually didn't come to visit Lily, they'd see her dad and Erica, or her sisters, but Lily didn't have many friends. Even the people who were nice to her didn't stop by just to see her. "I'd really like that, we could play games, or color, or make cookies..." She said trying to think of things that Kathy would enjoy doing too.
Lily's smile faded as she saw the confusion she was causing her friend while talking about the living situation. She wondered if she had made a mistake saying something, was this one of those things she wasn't supposed to talk about? She knew it was the truth, but maybe it was still wrong of her to say it. "I...I don't think any of Aunt Julia's family lives here anymore, they come visit once in awhile, but they live in California" She thought briefly about the time she had dated Sam Grey, she knew he was in California, and would occasionally get a letter or email from him, but she also knew there were lots of Santos relatives and wasn't sure where they all lived.
Lily watched Kathy get out of bed wanting to look for Tad. "Yeah...we can talk to Tad...but are you supposed to be out of bed? I dont want to get in trouble..."

“Maybe we can do all of that and we could even go to the park and play too,” Kathy said with excitement over the idea of playing with her friend. She knew a little bit about Lily and how she didn’t like loud noises or certain colours, Julia had explained that, so as soon as she mentioned the park she quickly shook her head. “But we don’t have to go to the park on a day were kids are being loud.”
“I don’t think they do either,” she admitted, as Lily spoke of Julia’s family not living in Pine Valley. “But – But I don’t know why they didn’t come. Did they make Tad and Dixie take me, because they didn’t want me, at all?” She was already moving towards the hospital room door, when Lily mentioned that she might get in trouble if she wasn’t in bed, and hesitated for a long moment before shaking her head.
“We have to find Tad,” she said quietly, though the thought of getting in trouble was still partly holding her back. “I want to know, because I cant remember, and it’s scary.” She reached the door and opened it, glancing back to see if Lily would follow before stepping out into the hall. People bustled all around her and as she watched them, she wondered which room Tad had gone off to. “Where do we find him? Should we ask?”
