Marian was still at the hospital at Seattle Grace. Liza had gone back to Pine Valley, and Haley had gone back for a week, so she was alone for atleast one week. Nurse Swanders came in to change her IV bag, and check on Marian's vitals, as she looked down to the woman in the bed. "How are you doing today, Mrs. Chandler?" the nurse asked, as Marian then looked up to her with a smile. "Good, and I'm alive, but I am also alone, and have noone to talk to." Marian said as she looked back down.
"Well, have you thought about calling a friend back home and making conversation?" Nurse Swanders asked, as Marian then shook her head. That was a good idea, and she hadn't thought of that. The one person she knew she could talk to was Dixie Martin. "Why thank you darling..I will do that" Marian said as Nurse Swanders smiled back at her. "Glad to have helped Mrs. Chandler." Nurse Swanders said as she then left the room, and Marian picked up the phone and began dialing Dixie's number. She then heard her answer. "Dixie..it's me Marian."

"Kathy please, turn the music down!" Dixie grumbled. Just as she got the twins down for a nap her daughter decided to practice her cheer routine in her room, with some mix blaring from her Ipod. "What?!" Kathy yelled, poking her head out of her bedroom. "Turn the music down!!" "Oh..okay!" "Honestly..." Letting out a heavy sigh she turned her attention to cleaning the kitchen, when all of a sudden the phone rang. And Dixie was surprised to hear who was on the other end of the call. "I...hello Marian! What a surprise, um..how are you?" She asked curiously, taking a seat at the kitchen table.

"Well, I guess you haven't heard then.." she said as she then rolled over onto her side in the bed, and then began to speak once more. "I am in Seattle at the hospital here. I, was here visiting, and I had a heart attack. I had to have triple-by pass surgery, but Liza, and Haley Santos have been here for me." she said as she noticed another nurse coming in, but she ignored her, and got back to her talk with Dixie.
"But, anyways enough about me. How are the kids, and Tad doing these days?" she asked as she then was poked with a needle on her thigh. "Ouch.." she said as she looked over to the Nurse. "It would have been nice if you would have warned me.." she said as she then turned back around.
"Sorry Dixie.." she said, as the nurse then walked out. Marian then made sure the nurse was gone. "Sorry one of my nurses is such a dumbass.."

"Oh my gosh, hon I..I had no idea!" Dixie said, genuinely shocked and worried after hearing Marian's announcement. But breathed a sigh of relief knowing she had people looking after her, and seemed to be alright. Enough to be calling her up to talk anyways. "I..we're doing fine." She answered vaguely, before she heard Marian talk about the nurse and her jaw nearly hit the floor. "Marian!!" Dixie laughed, more shocked than anything. She couldn't remember Marian Colby ever calling anyone a dumbass, didn't think she had it in her to talk like that. "I..but yeah, um Tad is fine, the twins and Kathy are growing like weeds. So is A.J. And, J.R..is up against quite a bit but, he's tough. He'll pull through it." She said, more to reassure herself than anything. "So not to pry or anything but, who were you visiting in Seattle? It's not exactly around the corner, you know?"

Marian then turned onto her back, and looked up after Dixie had asked her that last question. Stuart liked Dixie alot, and she knew that Dixie just loved him to peices, but who didn't love Stuart to pieces. She wasn't sure if she should tell Dixie about her discovery about Stuart being alive just yet. "Well, I know that Seattle isn't around the corner, but I came here to just relax and get away from everything in Pine Valley. Ever since Stuart died, I have been alone in that cottage, and I just couldn't take it anymore, so I decided to take a few weeks away and come here.." she said as she then bit her bottom lip.
She then shook her head. "I can't lie to you Dixie, I just can't! Stuart might be alive.." she revealed, as she then looked down at her feet, and let out a huge sigh.

"Oh, Marian.." Dixie sighed sadly. Hearing the state the older woman was in broke her heart, knowing how much she adored Stuart and how much he'd adored her. She still couldn't believe that sweet wonderful man was gone for good. But she did a double take and thought she was hearing things at Marian's second remark. "I...I'm sorry there must be a, bad connection hon. What did you just say?"

"No darling, their was no bad connection. You heard right" she said as she then looked up to ceiling of her room. "Before I had my heart attack, I saw a man who looked just like Stuart pass me in the hotel hallway, and that is when I had the heart attack. That next day Liza sent Haley to the hotel and she went up to the front desk, and showed a picture of Stuart, in which the front desk lady confirmed that he had been that earlier that day, but that he had checked out of the hotel, and left" Marian said as she shook her head.
"Stuart is out there, Dixie, and I just don't know where he is. Stuart is my life, like Tad is yours, and if there is a big chance on me getting him back then I am going to take that chance.." Marian said as she spoke more softly. "But Dixie until I know for sure, without a doubt in my mind that my Stuart is alive then please, keep this between you, me, Haley and Liza.."

Totally thrown by what she was hearing Dixie didn't know what to think. "Marian I..I understand you wanting to, keep things quiet but there's a lot of people in Pine Valley who love Stuart just as much, who I know would do anything to help bring him back. This is such good news and having to keep it from, Tad..from my son! You know how close J.R is to his uncle!" She sighed, frustrated before lowering her voice. "Look, I'll do my best but I can't make any promises here. I'll keep quiet but if I'm asked to do otherwise, you're not going to put me in a position where I'm lying to people that I love. If someone comes to me wanting and deserving answers I will tell them what I know." She said firmly. She'd been down this road before with keeping secrets in regards to not so lost loved ones, and wasn't about to go down it again.

"If they ask, tell them the truth, but what I am saying is Dixie, don't just offer up what you know, unless you are asked.." she said as she placed the phone on speaker, because she was getting tired of holding it. "Look, I don't mean to put you in this position, but I needed someone back from home to know, and I knew that I could trust you Dixie." she said as she placed her hands over her face.
"I just hope that real soon, that Stuart will come back into our lives, and bring us joy and happiness once more.."

"I..yes, you can Marian. I'm glad you told me, I'd be glad if you told anyone..I know secrets like this make you want to explode if you keep them to yourself so, I'm hoping telling me eased some of your stress." Dixie said, and smiled at the older woman's next words. "I hope so too. I've missed him so much and I know I'm not the only one. It'll be wonderful having him back. I'm just amazed that he survived. It's really a miracle."

"Well, Dixie you are a miracle too, and don't forget that. We all thought we had lost you forever, but you came back to your family and friends, and Stuart, well, he is going to do the same thing, you hear darling" Marian said, as a few stream of tears rolled down her face. "Well, I must get off the phone, and get some much needed rest. But you give Tad and the kids my love, and I will call you as soon as I find out anything about Stuart..and oh Dixie.." she said as she paused for a few moments.
"If you happen to tell anyone, can you please atleast call me and let me know who you told, so I am not blindsided by anyone?" she asked as she leaned her head back into the pillow.

"Yeah, I don't doubt it at all." Dixie smiled, humbled by the older woman's compliment. "Of course I will sweetie. And yes, if I tell a soul you'll be the first to know." She promised, before saying goodbye, hanging up, and flipping on the TV before taking a seat on the couch. Trying to wrap her mind around the unexpected but potentially wonderful news she'd just gotten.
