After letting Erica and Krystal see Josh and Babe at the cabin, and dealing with all of that, David decided that he was going to stop at the hospital to see if Angela Hubbard was still at work. She and him didn't get along, which was fine with him. He never liked her anyways, but he still wanted to talk with her, because it was fun when he got her all riled up. Once he arrived, he had remembered where her office was, as he walked towards her office. He finally arrived to her front office door, and saw it cracked open, but when he peeked in, he didn't even see anyone in the office.
Of course, David let himself in, and closed the door behind him, and sat down at her desk, as he smiled. "Oh Angie...you think your on top now..." he said to himself. "You just wait.." he said as he turned the chair around, facing the window, so Angie wouldn't be able to see him when she walked in. He waited and waited for her, til finally he heard the door open, and the lights turned on. He then turned around and looked up to her. "Well hello, Dr. Hubbard. You are looking beautiful as usual" he said with a smug look on his face.

Feeling as if nothing could sour her good mood, especially after the nice lunch she and her daughter just shared Angie headed towards her office. If she didn’t have some work to finish up she would have taken the rest of day off and treated her baby girl to a spa day. “But we have the weekend for that,” she muttered, digging through her purse for her office key only to see it was already unlocked. Swearing up and down she locked it before she left, she turned the knob and pushed it open. Angie switched on the light and when she turned she flinched as her eyes connected with the devil himself. Who actually had the gall to be sitting in her chair!
Though, determined to not let him get the best of her, Angie smiled. “Hello Hayward. And thank you. Terribly sorry I can’t say the same for you,” she said, putting her things down. “Mind telling me what you’re doing in my office? In my chair?” She asked, walking up to her desk. “No, scratch that… What you’re doing in my hospital?”

"Well, for starters this chair is rather comfortable, so that is why I am sitting in your chair, and two, well I came here to see you, Dr. Hubbard" he said as he stood up, and walked over to her. "I don't know if you have heard, but I have been doing a study research in Paris while I have been away, and I came back here to get my old job back, Angie" he said as he leaned against her desk, and smiled to her. "You know that I am the best Cardiologist that this hospital has ever seen, and you know that I am the man for this job.." he said as he let out a sigh
"But, I know you too well Angie. Your not going to give me the job back so freely, so I will just have to do what I must, to get my job back. Say, by the way, how is Frankie doing?" he asked as he then crossed his arms. "Seeing in pretty women here lately?" he asked, as he hinted around to what he was trying to get at.

“I’m sure it was said by somebody around here, but you know me when you come up in conversation I go… completely deaf.” Angie walked around and made a show of shooing away his evilness before she took a seat and crossed her legs. When he started going in on his skill Angie scoffed. She couldn’t lie about that David was a great cardiologist, but she wouldn’t say he was the best nor was he the man for the job at her hospital. “I think I would know more about what’s best for this hospital than you. Don’t you think?” She asked crossing her arms and fixing him with a knowing look.
Angie was about to go in on him being right about not giving him his job back when he brought up Frankie. Her tough façade nearly faltered, but after clearing her throat and swiping her tongue across her teeth she sat up she was all good. “That’s Franklin or Dr. Franklin Hubbard to you. And my son is doing just fine,” she replied, coming to her feet before answering his other question and then asking one of her own. “My son’s personal life isn’t any business of yours. So what’s it to you?”

"Well, let me just say this to you, Angie. If you want to keep it your son's business, then I will say you need to hire me back, but if you choose not too, then well....it's not just going to be your son's personal business anymore" David as he placed his hands on his hips. David was a very powerful, and resourceful man. He was known for manipulating people to get what he wanted, and this time was no different. He knew that the only way to get through to Angie was to threaten her son, and that was what he was planning to do.
"You should know me by now Angie, that I am a man of my word. So when I make threats, I usually follow through with them, and this time is no different. I want my old job back, Angie. Pure and simple. Now your son's future is now in the palm of your hands, Angie. What are you going to do?" David asked, as he looked down to her, and put that smug look on his face. "So, what's it going to be?"

Angie resisted the urge to laugh out loud as she rounded her desk and leaned against it. “David, you have really lost your touch… My goodness!” She laughed, clasping her hands together. “So my son is dating. Everybody in Pine Valley knows that. Kind of have to be living under a rock to not know,” she said as a matter of fact-ly. “Look you can shout old news to the roof tops, but that isn’t enough grounds to have me be as so foolish to allow you back on my staff,” she told him.
"Try again."

"Your right, I guess I have lost my touch, except for it's not that he is dating someone that I find appealing, it is the woman that he is dating that I find very interesting, and we both know the woman that I am talking about, don't we Angie? Isn't her name Madison North?" he asked looking to her, as he watched her every expression, and movement after hearing that name. "I am guessing you don't like the woman, do you?" he asked as he pulled up a chair, and sat down. "I mean why would you, after everything that she put your family through" He said as he put his hands in his lap, and then looked back up to her.
"Maybe, I will go at a different approach. You give me my old job back, and I will make sure Madison stays far away from your son...Deal?" He asked, as he was hoping that Angie would say yes, or else he would have to think of something else to come up with.

Hearing Madison’s name made Angie frown and flinch. “That’s right” she answered, eyeing him closely, trying to figure out just where he was headed with this. “Whether I like her or not, that’s no business of yours,” she replied, fixing him with a glare.
Upon hearing that he would keep Madison away from Frankie, Angie stood straight up and dropped her arms. “David, I…” Angie turned from him and went to stare out of her window. Why are you thinking about this?! What is there to think about? Say no! If she went along with David she wouldn’t have to worry about Madison breaking her son’s heart or worse. If she didn’t go along with him then there was a huge chance Madison could do her son harm and knowing that she could have stopped it would eat at her.
“You know what. You are acting like somebody really familiar right now and to be honest it’s really scary… Les Baxter ring a bell?... Yea exactly like him.” Came Jesse’s voice.
And then there was that! If she agreed then everything her husband said about her would be right on point. She would be doing exactly what her father did, doing any and everything to keep them apart. And not to mention if Frankie ever found out what she did he would never ever forgive her. If Jesse found out he would never forgive her nor look at her the same way.
After a few passing moments Angie turned around. “As good as that sounds… David, I… I can’t… No,” she mumbled. The words almost sound like they were coming from another woman. Why did her saying that feel so wrong? “No deal.”

"Wow...you are a whole lot stronger that I thought you was. Here I am offering you the chance to get Madison out of your son's life, and you refuse" David said as he shook his head at her, in total disbelief. "Well, then I ask what is it going to take to get my old job back, then? You may not like me, but you admit that I am a damn good doctor, Angie, and I will do anything to save lives in this hospital" David said as he looked to her. "What can I say or do? What is it going to take to get you to open your eyes, and realize that you do need me here?" he asked as he then stood up, and placed his hands on his hips. He really wanted his job back, and after failing a few times of trying to manipulate her, well he opted to pure begging.
"You know I am not the begging type of Angie, but I will do anything you want me to do. But, I need this job, because I am lost without it.." David said as he turned away from her. He didn't want her to see it in his eyes that he was desperate for his old job back. "Don't make me get on my hands and knees, Angie..."

Hell if he was shocked then what the hell was she. Angie still couldn’t believe she just turned him down. Turned down the chance to rid Frankie of Madison and the potential chance of getting hurt. And all she had to do was allow this man back on her staff. What the hell was she even thinking!? Considering the things he used against other people in Pine Valley she was getting off pretty damn easy.
Shaking her head and putting some distance between she and David, whose back was to her, Angie sat back down in her chair. “David, please… There is nothing you can say or do, because whether you believe it or not this staff does not need you. This hospital does not need you! And I do not need you! For anything.”
“So if you are that damn desperate for a job then you need to go somewhere else for one because there is no place on this team for you,” she snarled. “And if you are still in my office when I return I’m going to call the Chief of Police and just to refresh your memory he’s my husband and he will definitely not mind making good on, not threats, but promises of getting rid of you,” she hissed, coming to her feet and walking to her door. “I mean it David. I want you gone and unless you in dire need of medical attention I don’t want you stepping foot in my damn hospital ever again!” And with that she walked out. Slamming the door in her wake.
Angie hightailed it down the hall and to one of the emergency staircases where, after making sure the door closed behind her, she sunk to one of the stoops and bowed her head. She never ran, but Angie feared if she stayed another minute, another damn second she would went back on her no. She would have allowed him back on her staff if he made good on his word. Even now as she remembered all Madison did to her son and all she knew she was capable of doing she wanted to go back and seal the deal with him.
“Oh my god,” she sobbed, covering her mouth and staring straight ahead. Jesse was right.
