Leo stood in front of the door wondering if he was making a mistake right now. He knew that after the conversation he had with Greenlee only a few days ago that she would hate what he was about to do, but he could only hope that she'd forgive him for it. It was his brother, and truly his only family. Her family had been wonderful about accepting him and making him feel welcome but David was his flesh and blood and none of the flashes of memory that had reappeared had given him any reason to believe that he couldn't trust David, or at least have him in his life. Right now he just wanted to meet the man, feeling strange about what he was doing.
Leo had learned while he was picking up lunch at Krystal's restaurant that his brother was back in town. He had overheard two people discussing it and they mentioned where he was staying. Leo could only assume his brother was among those who believed he was dead, and he was just hoping that the fact that he was in fact alive would be a welcome surprise to his brother. Slowly he knocked on the door, wondering if he would see any similarities between himself and his brother, and hoping this wasn't all a mistake.

David had been doing some computer work, when he heard the knock at the door. He was hoping that it was either Dixie, Erica, or Krystal crawling to him, begging for forgiveness on how they had treated him recently, but when he opened the door, it was like a wave of the past came rushing in. All he did was stand there and stare at Leo, for a few moments. How could this be? How did Leo survive that fall, and if he had survived, he began wondering if maybe Vanessa had survived too.
He then took a few steps forward, and touched his hand to see if he was real, which he was. He then looked up, and stared into his eyes. "Leo? Is that really you?"

Leo was nervous the entire time he was waiting for his brother to open up the door, then when it opened and he saw his face, a brief flash of memory returned to Leo. He had a memory of hugging his brother and a sense of closeness that contradicted everything Greenlee had been trying to tell him, but Leo knew he'd have to find out for himself.
"Yeah, David its me...." Leo said tentatively, wishing he knew more about the state of their relationship the last time that David saw him. "I overheard someone mention you were in town, and staying here...normally I would've called first but this didnt seem like something I should do over the phone. Can I come in? I'm sure you've got some questions..."

After the shock wore off, he shook his head at his brother, and let his brother walk in. He then closed the door behind him. "Actually, I do have some questions" he said as he leaned against the door, and looked up to his brother. "But first you must know that I am very happy to see you alive. I just can't believe it." he said, as he crossed his arms. "You have no idea how much I have needed you these past years, but now you are back" he said as he pushed himself off from the door, and sat down in one of the chairs.
"But, I think the first question that I need answered is, if you survived the falls, did our mother survive?" he asked, as he looked up to his brother. "And please tell me the truth Leo, because I don't know if you remember, but our mother was a dangerous woman, and she is the reason that you almost died, and the reason that Greenlee lost you"

Leo felt a little less nervous hearing David say that he was happy to see him alive. He had been worried with Greenlee's mistrust of his brother that it may not have been a welcome surprise. As David sat down Leo sat across from him , knowing this had to be a shock for his brother.
"Actually there's a lot that I don't remember right now...most of what happened before the fall actually" Leo started to explain. "I've had amnesia since I woke up from a coma miles down the river from the falls. I have a few memories, just starting to piece themselves together but there's more gaping holes in my memory than anything" He told David. "As for our mother...I can't say for sure, but I do know that no one else was found when they found me. They said I was alone, no identification, no family...and when I woke up and didn't remember, I didnt know where to come back home to...I never meant to make anyone think I was dead, I just didnt know where I belonged, until I wandered back this way"

"Thank God" he said referring to Vanessa being not found. "I mean that in reference to our mom. She was an evil woman, Leo, and she needs to stay dead." he said as he looked over to him, and just listened to him. "I know you would never make anyone think that you were dead Leo, because that is not the kind of person you are. Actually, your the opposite of me. I will be honest with you. I am not the good guy, I try to make everyone to believe I am, but if there is one good quality about me, it's that I love a few people, and your one of them Leo. Your a part of me, because of our mother, and that will never change."
He then leaned back into the chair. "The only thing I need from you is that you will never forsake me as your brother. I need you Leo, and I need you now more than ever." he said as he looked down, and then all of a suddenly it hit him. He began to wonder if Greenlee knew that Leo was alive. He then looked over to his brother. "Does Greenlee know that you are alive, Leo?"

"So even though you hate our mother, I'm still one of the people you care about?" Leo said tentatively, wondering if this was what Greenlee had warned him about. Maybe when David realized their mother was evil, he transferred those feelings to his brother too. He just wished he remembered the last time they had spoken, but yet even with his suspicions, he felt like he could believe David and he was being sincere.
"Greenlee does know I'm alive. Practically as soon as I saw her I remembered my feelings for her, it was about the only thing I remembered at first. I still love her, and she feels the same. We're planning to get married again" Leo told him. "She doesnt trust you though...and told me not to. But you're my brother, I had to see you for myself...and the bits and pieces that have started to come back tell me that we were pretty close, so why is Greenlee telling me I can't trust you? " He asked David.

"Greenlee is just being protective over you, and quite frankly Leo, she has every right to not trust me. I have done some not nice things since you have been gone Leo, but the one thing that still remains is I will never hurt you because you are my brother, and you can count on me for that. I will not abandon you, and I seriously want to be there by your side for your wedding, if that is what you want, but I am sure Greenlee as made it quite clear that I don't need to be there.." David said as he looked down, and shook his head.
"This is not just her day Leo, it is your day as well, and if you want me there, then I will be there. Nothing will keep me from celebrating this day with you Leo..I promise you that" David said as he finally looked back up to his brother, and their eyes met.

Leo knew that he really didnt have any reason to trust David when he said that he would never hurt him, yet he felt like he could. He just hoped that if he did end up trusting David, that it wouldn't come back to bite him later on. "You're right about her not wanting you there, she seems to think you'd end up finding a way to ruin it...but you were at our first wedding and if you had done something then, I'm sure she would have brought it up" Leo said as he thought it over. He really didnt have anyone he was inviting to the wedding just for him. It was Greenlee's family, her friends, people she knew. He wanted her to have that, everyone she loved there to see her. But he still hadn't even come up with one person he could ask to be his best man. The only person he had confirmed for a groomsman was Greenlee's brother Reggie.
"David, you said you'd never hurt me and if you do anything to mess up this wedding, that will hurt me" He made it clear. "Let me talk to Greenlee about it again...I don't want to upset her by having you there, but I think I might be able to convince her that my big brother should be a part of it"

"Well, I am sure Greenlee is not going to like it, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try and convince her to let me come. I want to be there Leo, but this is Greenlee's decision. So, I will respect the decision that she makes, whatever it maybe" David said, as his phone then began to ring. "Hello?" David answered, as he then looked to Leo. "Oh my god...I will be there right away" David said as he put his cell in his pocket and then looked over to Leo.
"Our cousin Maggie has been involved in a car crash." David said as he stood up from where he was sitting at and looked down to David. "Come with me Leo..." he said as he rushed out the front door.

Leo was already starting to think of ways he could try to convince Greenlee to be okay with this, but he wasnt sure anything he could say could really change her mind, but he hoped that she could just ignore David, for Leo's sake. Leo waited while David answered his phone.
"What? Maggie was hurt?" Leo asked worried. He hadn't spoken to his cousin since she got back in town, but he had talked to Greenlee and Bianca both about his cousin. Leo followed David out the door. "I'm right behind you..."
